ASOBO PC-6 vs MilViz PC-6?

Featured Replies

Honestly it's garbage, try the circuit breakers, most of them will disconnect the adf, except the adf breaker, check your flight surfaces before take off from outside, they don't move. Try turning off the GPS, you can't, try stalling it and let me know how it works,  Prop animation is great lol 🙄

Unless I have a bad install, can't believe they released it in it's state. Should have just left it out

 The update as a whole is decent though.

As a freebie I imagine it'll also be modded to within an inch of its life in due course.

The config files are open.

Here's the turboprop engine variables,

Quote

[TURBOPROP_ENGINE]
tp_high_idle_throttle_pos=0
power_scalar = 1 ; Scalar on Turboprop power
maximum_torque = 1684 ; 47.3 psi=1684 ft-lbmax=680SHP at 2000RPM calculated 550hp flat rated at 2000 RPM ; C208=2397 ; Maximum torque available (ft-lbs)
torque_automatic_limit=1922 ; max red line 54 psi ;C208=2500
engine_friction_table = -10:-0.2, 0:0, 10:0.5, 70:0.5, 105:0.5 ; Rpm -> Friction torque
n1_to_shaft_torque_table = 0:0, 66:0.05, 100:1.0, 110:1.1 ; Corrected N1 -> Shaft Torque
rated_shaft_hp = 680 ;C208=867
PowerSpecificFuelConsumption = 0.66 ; SFC
tp_idle_range = 1.3 ;1.25 ; increase of n1 idle at high mixture (Percent)
free_turbine = 1

One interesting thing,  is that the Porter engine config file mentions the 208b in several locations.

The cabin light works, it's the switch on the ceiling, not on the lights panel.

It also has autopilot, at least the G1000 version does.

i turned the clock to night and flipped the cabin light on and off and didn't see anything lighting up the cabin?

i was flying the steam gauge one as shown in the OP and it doesn't have an AP. also as far as i can tell there's no way to see which PC-6 has g1000 and which has steam from the airplane selection screen...

I noticed the same, the distinction was there in the beta but it is now gone

I tried the MSFS Porter 3 times and it just doesnt appeal to me.

The model and textures are ok.

I stay with the Milviz and probably going to try out the new one coming.

I bought the Husky and dont like that either. No more MSFS planes for me.

so dissapointing.

I was hoping this version would save me $30 but I guess not.
Looks like I'll have to get the Milviz version after all.

It's for free, disappointed for a free burger? 🤔

You are likely having only that car and you need to use that car. However you don't need to use Asobo's PC-6.

My point is that, even if something is free, it should be up to par. Especially as Asobo launched it with fanfare.

I bought the Husky, same deal. Panel works, but feels as dead as a door nail. (personal opinion)

Like every default plane, it's another lukewarm affair. Hopefully the mod community will turn it into a gem.

i understand. But by now we know that default planes and low priced addons are not the best compared to what we are normally used to. Just like default planes in FSX (which were much, much worse). It will take time to fix them, if they want to fix them at all, otherwise the community will rise up to the challenge.

Mine are moving...

Besides that, I think it is nice. Every control works.

Milviz also has disadvantages: unrealistic glass cockpit for the majority of flying Porters, no water version.
