November 21, 20214 yr I swear you I have tried to fly without Trackir, but it ended with a quick alt+f4. Asobo, please, fix ASAP.

But I really have tried everything. The issue seems to be that TRir is permamnently switched off in MS and it won't turn on even when TRir is not connected I'll check it out again tomorrow and let you know how I get on. I've found that I need to use the camera icon popup on the floating menu in the sim to re-enable it each time it goes "outside" of the receiver view. Someone else said you can bind a key to enable track IR (so you don't have to open that little menu each time) but I've not done that yet. It was working just fine before the update of course, without the need to do this extra step every time you lose touch with the receiver. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

November 22, 20214 yr It will be interesting to see how long it takes Asobo to release a hotfix. November 22, 20214 yr I meant it works just fine with the workaround. At this point it's just an annoyance that can be addressed with mapping a hotkey or a controller's button. You can choose to live with it for now, or can go back to cry about it in the corner. Jacek G. Thats not enough, dont forget that every time you pause TIR, instead of remaing at the place, it recenters, so you have no more the advantage of keeping it steady at some cockpit zone in order to manipulate knobs and switches

That would mean re-enabling TrackIR hundreds of times during a flight. That is a ridiculous proposition. TrackIR has worked just fine for almost 20 years until the Asobo Sim Update 7 hosed it in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

This is ridiculous. They completely broke this in the update and you’re saying to deal with an annoying “work around” or cry in the corner. As mentioned above, the disconnected isn’t the only thing they broke. When you would pause it before so you can tune radios or enter data into the FMS, now it changes the camera view. I suggest trying to be more constructive in your responses instead of acting insufferably.

All I'm saying there's a workaround and I can't see them prioritizing it in a hotfix this week, or next. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised and proved wrong. Jacek G.
