Exactly how I felt, as my primary flight preference has always been commercial aviation/tube liners. I've really enjoyed GA in MSFS of course, and when I had a few requests for some paints for the DC-6, I bought it and started painting. After a few paints, (and during the process), I would take her up on paint inspection flights. Not knowing how to really fly her (still learning, but confident I can get her to point B without much fuss now), I did note that she always looked quite majestic on the GA ramp next to those tiny GA aircraft. 🙂 Anyway, before I "discovered" her finer qualities, her and her flying style were solidly in the #3 spot in my flight preference standings. Now, after 1000's of nautical miles have passed under her shiny bare belly since I got her, she is currently sitting firmly at #1.😉 The sound of those 4 big radials is awesome, and even more so when you pull the props back into cruise pitch (about 2100rpm), and engaging the gyropilot during a long flight, they will drone you to sleep if you're not careful! LOL....but such a relaxing way to enjoy the great MSFS scenery floating by below you. November 28, 20214 yr You’ve convinced me to take the DC-6 for another flight Steve, I just need to be willing to stop flying my newly acquired BN-2 Islander for a bit 🙂. November 28, 20214 yr Yes that tweak makes a lot of difference. I am desperate for the PMDG 737/777/747/757/ Leonardo MD the MD 11 Fenix a320 all the big iron. 2022 will be the year for MSFS... Not long now hopefully. If PMDG do the 757 I will be fully contented. Amazing aircraft Analogue but so much character... x Edited November 28, 20214 yr by Hamish100 adding ideas
November 29, 20214 yr In regards to that dc6 tip, I must be a lucky one cause I get really good performance on my peasant system where I don’t feel a need to use the dev tweak. That one is way more fun for me than I ever would have expected. That by far is the biggest conundrum simmers face....enough time to fly them all! Just get all the BN-2 out of your system before get too many more flights in the DC-6. You'll find the more you fly her (and have successful flights, LOL), the more you'll want to fly it, and when holding the DC-6 in one hand and the BN-2 (or any other plane) in the other saying to yourself "Hmmm....I only have x amount of time to fly today, what should I fly?" the scale will slowly move to the DC-6 as you find more 1 hour routes, if that it your typical flight interval (not saying total flight time per day of course, hehe). I can recommend KMIA to KEYW (Or KFLL which is just north of KMIA), KLAS to KLAX and the reverse, KLAX to KSAN or KSBA, KTUS to KPHX is nice too....I'm sure you have 1 hour routes you fly often. 😉 Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here

Then Simbrief to make a flight plan, load the flightplan into MSFS, and I'm off. My flights are usually around 1 hour and 15 minutes max. I have gone across US, Canada, and Europe using this method.

Its a first class POS and the developers aren't even answering peoples problem in the forums. Problems that have existed since the FSX/P3D days are STILL in the current build. It will be the last product from Aerosoft. I LOVE the CRJ and I have ZERO problems with it, a must buy in my opinion. Flying in bad weather with VORs and ADFs, no GPS, made the sim very very enjoyable. Forethought and planning makes it awesome, especially when flying at night. Night in this sim is DARK. Oh man, what a breath of fresh air. Not the best Procedure turn, but hey, at least it was within bounds LOL I've flown this approach many times in real life and in the sim, but those mountains are amazing with the new ORBX Alaska Mesh. I just wish the "sea ice" wasn't a solid sheet of ice. What map tool is that? Hi Bob, rookie here, i'm using Navigraph Charts a lot but has never used the Simbrief before although i kinda know how it works. Can you please impart that load the flight plan in IFR or VFR? If IFR, Since the departure/arrive procedure is not included in the Simbrief plan, so we need add them manually or fly to the track manually? The ATC is pretty annoying so i usually leave them alone. Have tested the DC6 for the first time today, and i'm all sweaty.😅 Thanks! Kind regards.
