Still very much looking forward to this release. The older version worked very well for me in P3D and VATSIM and I’d love to have that back for MSFS.

the AIG Live traffic fix isn't needed anymore, Sim Update 8 fixed the issue.

Yes you are right, I have stop using it and it seems to work the same without it.

But with AiG to gotta love the spinning planes when waiting for takeoff

Not sure if you are aware, but that is not an AIG issue, it is a sim issue with the way the sim handles AI traffic. AIG just exposed the issue. One of many issues with the way the sim handles AI traffic. Not to mention the way the sim ATC handles things as well. At least Asobo and MS have acknowledged the issues and are planning a rewrite of the AI/ATC systems at some point. Don't hold your breath though, it's going to take a while.

It was a figure of speech. As you full know.  What words would you have preferred? "I find it slightly difficult to use"? Sorry but it's a dogs dinner of complex nonsense and I am longing for something better. One Click Install? Hahahaha.

No, I didn't or I wouldn't have asked,. I'm still confused if it was a serious comment or tongue in cheek because personally I find it highly disrespectful and the epitome of ingratitude if it was a serious comment. Why disparage AIG at all in a thread about FSTraffic?   just say how you are excited for FSTraffic, it's like the sales person who tries to sell you on the negatives of their competition opposed to their own strengths.  

That's also not a figure of speech it's a word with a very specific definition.  I still fail to see how someone could refer to someone else spending hundreds if not thousands of hours of their effort and providing a resource to the community for free as an option could ever be referred to as torture.

I acknowledge the work that has gone into this. I truly do. But there has to be another way? Surely there has to be a better way in 2022. AIG is painful.

Yes, I can see your acknowledgment above.  Nothing personal I just don't think people realize the impact of all the negativity on these forums, then they question why developers close their own forums and move to ticketed support only.  

I mean honestly if someone spent ages to give you something for free in real life would you tell them "it's a dogs dinner of complex nonsense."  Of course not so why say it here?  

I also doubt the thousands of people using it successfully for years in P3D and MSFS would agree with you.    

 

Apologies, not trying to pick on you personally it's just the tone of these forums sometimes (Too often IMO) and this was another great example.

I would tell them, free or not. In fact, I have. The British thing would be to say nothing. If someone doesn’t know something is wrong, free or not, how do they ever progress?

Fair play, but there is providing constructive feedback to help someone improve and then there is telling them that what they gave you for free and that you didn't need to use was torture for you and a dog's dinner despite the fact my dogs happen to eat very well....   

It's not what you say but how you say it...I am all for honest, constructive feedback that helps but that would also imply I could do better or improve upon it myself.  Otherwise I would keep my mouth shut, be grateful for their efforts and not tell someone their work that I am not even capable of creating myself that theirs is garbage.  I'd expect if I spoke to them like that they would take it back and tell me to go do it myself... 

Just me, to each their own, but I see so many of these flippant insults, not feedback but point blank insults on these forums I personally find it disheartening at times and I understand why developers are closing forums as a result...

....yes, at "some point" after they spent thousands of man-hours producing new regions, new scenery, new "features" and new marketplace money-spinners but in that whole period did not bother to fix a whole list of obvious and glaring BASIC bugs and issues with the sim. Actually I take the phrase "some point" to be "never". If basic things aren't fixed within a year you can be pretty sure developers think "well, we've got away with this so far, and sales are not dropping, so we'll carry on not fixing things". For that reason I have zero confidence that Asobo will fix this or countless other fundamental flaws.

AIG and the GA traffic mod have been great. Using multiplayer alongside just adds to the craziness around busy airports. 😉

If this pans out then it might be a good purchase.
