is this for FSX or MSFS? the window frames seem way too thick, the yoke reminds me of FSX graphics?

yea the rear facing posts are a bit much I'd agree, but the forward ones seem just fine, to me anyway.

But, if you've ever owned one of these guys' planes you'd know that the graphics and artistry are not their true wheelhouse, although they still do a better job in this category than other payware devs.

Their claim to fame, IMO, is the love & attention that they give to the functionality and usefulness of their aircraft, unlike the other 3rd party you mentioned which is mostly about the aesthetics.

This one will likely be a purchase for me.

The textures for this plane were not done by Flysimware inhouse, but rather were done by one of the top texture outfits in the business. The owner and pilot of this plane is a tech advisor to Flysimware, and so the modeling and sounds have been based on many many pictures and measurements of the actual aircraft.

Cabin class piston twin heck ya!

We're going to have accurate flight modeling finally!

I think it looks incredible.

Often times it takes some artistic fiddling to get things to render inside the sim, as intended, beyond what the real world numbers say.

Modeling and systems are the FSW strong points. And I can assure you the FSW tech advisor and owner of the plane is a stickler for simulation details, to say the least!

No offense but I've purchased and own a couple of their aircraft offerings over the years for FSX so I'm already quite familiar with their strong points as developers, as I've previously mentioned, as well as their not-so strong points, IMO.

My post was actually quite flattering so I don't see the need for you to be so defensive for I was merely agreeing with someone over an artistic perception.

His post wasn't defensive at all from how I read it.

Not defensive, just trying to get some facts out for those not familiar with Flysimware, and for those that are familiar with Flysimware from the FSX and P3D days, to point out some significant changes have taken place lately, such as the use of a well known 3rd party texturing company. The C414 for MSFS is the first plane textured for Flysimware by this company.

Al

@ryanbatcund Oh my goodness, his response wreaks of it.

Regardless, I stand by my opinion in my postings about it. I enjoy their work very much as they do give lots of attention to detail and I always enjoy their offerings and get a kick out of flying them, even though IMO the graphics have never been their strong point.

Well as usual it took only the second page for someone to start getting dramatic. Oy vey!

This looks great to me and based on my experience with their G44A Widgeon for MSFS, I'll definitely be procuring this.  👍

Language difference between you two perhaps.  It was just factual.  You guys both are saying the same thing anyway hehe

Maybe that's it. I see Hanger is from NY, and although I live in Colorado now, I grew up in NJ!  So maybe that explains it (although maybe not, truth be told, I was born in Brooklyn, NY).  🙂

I beg to differ. just compare the leather on the seats, the side panels, the bump mapping on the interior struts with the Carenado. Carenado must be the Uber-top-notch outfits then.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, HP Reverb G2 VR headset @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Aeronautical Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Carenado *are* great at visual modelling and always have been.

It's the rest of the plane where they frequently fail to come up to scratch.
