Maybe they’re doing it this way so it’s technically Tuesday in Australia lol

The mods on Discord are saying 4PM eastern

That makes it 9pm UK time - quite late for us - leaves time for a nice bit of dinner!

I am looking forward to this one, but I might leave it to download overnight, as I want to get straight into MSFS later.  I take it most of the update will be in the marketplace, which is good.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

As always, a WU brings airport sale prices.

You'll know when its been done when MSFS opens with a "G'day Mate" screen......

Come to think of it, we Aussies could probably do a rhyming Aussie slang update for all the menu/dialogue pages text........😁

I guess it's time to move my OnAir fleet to Australia!!

Am I right in thinking that if it's just the Oz update it'll just appear in the marketplace rather than the usual palaver? Or will they be sneaking in a few bug fixes as well?

I guess we will find out today.  Update is scheduled 1 PM Pacific Time USA

Not everything in world updates is installed from the marketplace, some stuff is added via the regular patch, like updates to the non-hand crafted airports and autogen buildings, plus we'll probably also get the AIRAC cycle update.

I actually hope not--the team has said they are separating World Updates from Sim Updates in order to improve the stability post updates and have stated SU8 is focused on bug fixes.   I thought this was an important step towards more stable releases so yes I hope this is pure scenery update only.

Well they specifically said big code base changes wouldn't be pushed. Small bug fixes probably would probably still be pushed, pressing issues.
