Curious to get your thoughts but for me with the current storm we have in parts of europe i flew the FBW320 yesterday into EDDH and had strong crosswind but the plane was not evens haking like i would expect it OR like i have when flying with the Storm weather preset....

Is this smtg. you guys experience too ?

Thanks for your thoughts, Carsten

Yep, the gusts are missing with the live weather. Every landing is easy... Hope this will fixed soon.

Live weather has been borked for months and will be for many more still.

That guy from Microsoft says it's all working really well though! He must not be using his own product.

I thought that the SU8 beta was solving that problem.  Are you guys running with it?

Not only in this regard I often wonder, if those three Asobo guys sitting in front of the camera repeatedly really ever use their own product or just talk...

Yes, latest beta installed.
Just did a test flight in the south-west of England ... great visuals of the weather, but absolutely no gusts or strong winds.

Flew EGHI/EHAM today in the beta and the weather looks incredible and the winds seemed to be correct upon takeoff. At landing I was about 2500/3000 AGL and the wind was still 60knots , it dropped to like 20ish at like 500 feet. Seems the transition is messed up. anyone else notice this?

I've noticed it.  I do not run the beta so hopefully that will get addressed.

Winds can really change quickly, probably related to Asobo's attempt to meld in a local METAR into MeteoBlue.  I've even been sitting on the ground, and observed a windsock spinning around in a 360 degree arc, as the wind went bonkers.  I think it gets confused.  No question it needs some work.

It must be a special problem with FBW320, I have experienced very strong wind guest with GA aircrafts that even blew me off the runway.

I'm running SU8 and personally feel the weather has improved, but a long way to go.  I fly only GA and the wind feels pretty good to me with gusts too.

Please MS/Asobo, get the stratus and cirrus in the sim!!

My latest flight was out of Anchorage with a reported overcast at 11,000.

Thanks for your thoughts, Carsten

I flew the JP modded C152 with AP yesterday with 35-45knots wind at A025 from Isle of Mann to Belfast.

I surely experienced the weather real-time effects, per actual METAR, including clouds, head-wind and turbulence (a bit mild, though). The head-wind calculation effect compared fairly with the time it took me to complete the route.

For the landing in Rwy04 I had x-winds at 40 knots, for which I made ILS approach with the AP of this mod. That brought me to final landing with the plane nose pointing about 40  degrees off the approach path.   200 ft prior touch down I took manual control and touched down fairly,  (not that easy).

However, as expected, even with the nose pointing runway heading, the strong x-wind tilted my Cessna taking us off the runway.  Luckily I did not fully roll over the plane..
