February 28, 20224 yr In order to prevent my entire sim installation from being completely deleted -- as happened last beta -- I removed myself from the beta three days ago. All my files were perfectly restored to SU7. Today, my entire sim installation has once again been deleted from my SSD. Yes, I know it was suggested to have a separate installation to a SECOND location for the beta. But that's more data than my storage can handle. Is it really technically impossible to simply update your existing files from the beta to the final release? Or from SU7 to SU8 on the same storage device? Especially when you left the beta early as suggested? I guess it is impossible.
