March 8, 20224 yr Quote from A2A's DHenriquesA2A: I don't post at Avsim but if you do you have my personal permission to post in that thread and inform them over there that A2A is VERY much alive and well and has NOT "sold out" to the everyday simmer to make aircraft for the military. We are perfectly capable of wearing two hats at one time. A2A is DEEPLY involved in FS2020 and WILL be releasing our first aircraft (The Comanche) fairly soon. As for Scott; he is presently out on the West Coast trying to help an old friend who had sudden health issues. This is all I can say at this time but I can assure the folks at Avsim that both Scott, and the rest of us at A2A are still very much in the ball game. I know it's getting old seeing me tell everyone to be patient. It's been a long time and I know how rumors can start. The road into FS2020 has not been an easy one for A2A due to the depth of fidelity built into Accusim. That and ONLY THAT is the reason we are late out of the gate. An A2A Accusimmed aircraft is a VERY complex bit of code and we spent years getting it to where we wanted it to be. The reason we are so late is specifically because we didn't want to release a product not to the A2A standard. We are now close to where we have to be so hang in there as I've said a hundred times. When we release trust me...........you will NOT be disappointed! Dudley Henriques PS; You have my permission to cut and paste this post from me over on the Avsim forum.
March 8, 20224 yr I don't think it's really fair to say that people "assumed". In the absence of updates or other new information, people, myself included, discussed what they thought the scant available evidence might mean. Frankly, If A2A doesn't want there to be rumors about what's going on, they have the ability to greatly reduce them though regular, substantive, communication. They've chosen not to do that over the past couple of years. Other simulation companies have chosen differently. A2A has loyal and enthusiastic following. It's unfortunate that they have chosen to freeze their fans out rather than to appreciate and embrace them. Edited March 8, 20224 yr by Muwarr90

While we traditionally keep our cards close to our chest, we think this Comanche 250 may be different especially considering how quiet we've been. So the thinking is, sharing more of what we go through to Accu-Sim an airplane. Taking cameras more on my Comanche and posting dev updates. Is this what you were referring too? BTW I do miss making these vids. It was always a lot of fun. To nothing for 5 month Yea.. That's what I remember. I hope they will just come out with a huge surprise and just blow us all away. So we can have a2a and PMDG back on top again!

Dudley Henriques Assuming Accusim is A2A's in-house external systems framework (or maybe more than just systems), something akin to Prosim I guess? Good to hear they are close where they want to be in terms of providing high fidelity aircrafts for MSFS. March 8, 20224 yr I was about to post a 2c worth but thought I'd best hold on a bit. Now where was I? Oh yes. All this hullabaloo about A2A not being quick enough for the 'I want it and I want it now' lot. Can you imagine the flak they'd get if they put out something that was below the standard we have come to expect of them? The World is divided into two groups. March 8, 20224 yr Glad to hear the update from Dudley, but I can't say I blame them for not updating until there's something to update. I mean, why would they care if the sim community starts rumors that they're not working on GA anymore? It's irrelevant to them. When they release a product, it will be good and people will buy it so they'll have their sales then. Until they have something to sell... any community rumors are meaningless. And those rumors are automatically put to bed when they DO have something to sell. I guess if it were me, I wouldn't consider it worth my time to regularly post the same "we're still working on it" update either. When there's a plane available, I imagine we'll hear. Andrew Crowley

This is pretty much why I expected from A2A. A2A said in their message board last fall that they had a breakthrough with the MSFS SDK that would allow them to continue forward progress and it was a huge breakthrough if my memory is correct, To go from that message last fall to giving up on MSFS, I have no idea why people would think this. They already spent a lot of development time and man hours on their Comanche. Why throw away the $$$ they have spent developing the Comanche when they don’t have any SDK issues anymore and they are close to finishing it so they can make a huge payday? i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
