Also curious about that statement, does it really affect performance that much?

I do not see any performance impact with the pushback mod

Note that the latest version of Toolbar Pushback kills performance, delete that mod however great it is until an update.

Perfectly fine for me in VR.

The latest version with the pre-planned pushback is problematic for some people. Previous versions are fine.
The FPS decreases over time, not immediately after loading.

Ok thanks, i think i gonna give the posted solution a go, mostly have a fluid sim on takeoff, but on landing performance is much worse,

I've tested this, not quite sure what kind of magic it is, but my frame time now is perfect!

The author is aware of it and is trying to find a solution. (According to his message board over in flightsim.to).

Kind regards,

I also think there is some validity to this change as it does appear to smooth things out.  YMMV

What is technical side of this thing at all ? what is this registry doing ?

It is turning the service from on to off.

That wasn't very helpful. To answer the question: The service is responsible for the detection of USB devices and on top of that it somehow limits internet data rates. That's what I understood.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I've created two reg files on my desktop. One enables it, one disables it. So I can always turn it back on if needed.

Also:-

NDU stands for Network Diagnostic Usage, it is a monitoring tool.

Is it safe to disable NDU?

Yeah it's safe to disable it, it's for monitoring the data usage (only useful in metered connections), anyways if you're data capped, your ISP should notify you when you're near limit.

I'm always skeptical about this stuff and I don't consider myself immune to placebo effect but I'd have to say that the 1 hour flight I just tookafter making this regedit was completely free of any discernible stutter and that never happens. Despite having near perfect smoothness in my sim I would still occasionally get the odd stutter feast here or there which might last a few seconds and then be gone as soon as it appeared. I'll be pleasantly surprised if I never see that again! 🤣

Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.

OF COURSE I only see this as soon as I get to work! I'm anxious to try this. SU8 improved the performance degradation a decent amount, but it's still worse than pre-SU5. Here's to hoping this works!
