Therefor you are able to delete waypoints or make direkt to waypoint flights and other stuff like that .

cheers 😉

Sure - but I should be able to do this right in the FMS, while in flight.

I have no problems changing stars or modifying waypoints, I do this all the time when I get another star / approach compared to what I was expecting. I only remember once it somehow bugged out when I was changing a sid on the ground (all waypoints were off, maybe navdata's fault, who knows).

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Another tick in the 'meh' column here. I'm not impressed when the WT CJ4 and FBW A320 both do LNAV far better and have more reliable FMS functionality. I don't think I've convinced it to do a direct waypoint action correctly a single time, and it often messes up the ILS. Get it on sale, don't pay full price.

It's probably the best commuter jet in MSFS, which unfortunately is faint praise indeed. Because the RL CRJ lacks autothrust, it's a handful for a single pilot to fly, but one eventually gets to include the airspeed/thrust settings fully integrated into the instrument scan, so that's all good. The LNAV is OK, but the AP has its problems, the most annoying of which is glide slope capture on an ILS. Two out of three times it works well enough, but one needs to be ready to take over manually when the FD commands the descent on GS intercept and the AP responds with a truly extraordinary pitch up. I keep my finger poised over the AP disconnect button now, so it's less of a hassle, but annoying nonetheless.

From the comments above, it seems that a lot of folks think that VNAV is a big deal on a commuter jet, but it's not. Except for airports for which RNAV STARs are provided that establish fixed altitude windows, flights are taken out of the enroute environment by "descend and maintain" clearances in the real world on arrival. The TOD is determined by ATC, not the FMC. RNAV approaches are another thing, of course, but as I understand it, RW CRJs can't descend to LPV minimums either, so it doesn't matter.

Not my favorite aircraft, but certainly enjoyable if one is in the right frame of mind.

IMHO, if you have no knowledge of the real plane you may not notice quite a few of the issues and be happy with the addon for what it is.

If you have some basic knowledge of the plane and systems, or just generally from other airliners, you will be scratching your head multiple times each flight as to why some very basic stuff does not work reliably. Basic lateral navigation, takeoff thrust settings, minimum callouts, setting the weight in the EFB (be sure to press the button twice, no one will tell you that in tutorials or the manuals despite them knowing about the issue for a year). And you may also be one of the unlucky ones who will run into things like the FMS locking up when trying to clean up an arrival. And there are literal lists of other issues on their forums, most of them valid and never replied to by the developer.

If you fly or flew the real plane, it is a complete s*** show if you can pardon my language. Whichever 'real life rated pilot' they had on their beta or development team that signed off on this saying "yup, that seems about right" should not pass his/her next type proficiency check 🤣.
I never expect PMDG/FSLabs/Fenix etc kind of fidelity from Aerosoft. But they also fail to accomplish what they claim, simulating the day to day normal operations.

On top of that there is very lackluster customer support or just an almost palpable dislike towards the customer base on their support forums. And the issue of whether or not this will ever see significant updates anymore. I will believe it only when I see it, and I would recommend people who have been on the fence for this long already to wait until that promised update drops before pulling the trigger. You've done this long without it, you can hold on for a bit longer and there should hopefully be a nice 4-holer regional jet out soon as alternative.

Yes, I am pretty negative about this particular addon as they have had many chances and years upon years to get it right in three generations of sim platforms. And they are just not capable. Some bugs and inaccuracies have been ported straight over from P3D code... So feel free to take that admission of negative bias into account, I am still happy for others who are able to enjoy it and hope you will be one of them, since I just read the purchase has been made 😅.

This is literally why I have never bought an Aerosoft product. I've seen how the owner treats and speaks to people on their forum and it's a giant turnoff. So much so, that i've decided I don't want to ever give that man a penny of mine.

Actually, I think this one has been solved in an earlier update. It appears that only one press is required to get the load data from the EFB into the sim and one more to get it into the FMS.

Completely agree with several others here.  Aerosoft has one of the worst anti-customer attitudes of any company in the flight sim world.  Even if I did think the CRJ was worth the coin they're asking for it (and I don't, they need to fix many many issues), I wouldn't buy it because they're so averse to any kind of criticism.  MK is abrasive and word not allowed to any sort of problems brought up by paying customers.  Them having the .to folks remove the Twin Otter improvement mods from distribution was just petty and sad.  I wouldn't recommend anyone buy an Aerosoft product.  Your money is better spent elsewhere.  A good regional from a decent developer will come along.

Edit: the profanity filter took out the "i" word that ends in gnorant?  I don't see how that's helpful.

Who needs a CRJ when you can fly the WT CJ4 for free?

BTW, I did buy the plane for P3D and when it worked it was a fun airplane to fly.

What's wrong with takeoff thrust settings? And "minimum callouts" (whatever problem you have with them [or their absence?]) justify calling this a s*** show? The day to day operations work fine, lateral navigation is not "beautiful" but it works, no idea what you consider as "failed". But then again I know little about the CRJ in real life; anyway she works for me without having to scratch my head and without losing immersion.
I thin you are being harsh, I've seen a lot worse from other developers (e.g. the QW787 has a pitch black cockpit for two years counting, the E-Jets from Feelthere at times feel like an alpha version of a possibly great product).

That said I do agree with your opinion of their customer support, it's blatantly condescending and simply openly disinterested.

I remember when I had issue with my TCA throttle, engine power jumped up and down and I also said that I had no issue with all the other plane on MSFS.

Aerosoft reply : your TCA is not working well...

Took them a couple of weeks to recognize the issue and even longer to fix it

LNAV is day to day ops - and it doesn't work fine hehe.

This post is right on!  It really depends on your aviation/sim experience.  Some people find the addon amazing.
