Well, with full CFD it does behave a bit better, but still has many problems, now with stability after getting near the critical AoA. It looks like it becomes plagued by dynamic instability even after we recover (?). Spins feel completely weird.... It's WIP ! We must not forget about this ! Going to get further FM updates supposedly with SU10.There are now additional fine tuning parameters that I believe should be used to model near and even post-stalled flight, effects of flying in a sideslip or any other combination of angles reative to the flightpath, and even the effects of the spiralling propwash on various aircrfat surfaces. Although Asobo has a good starting point "reference" implementation and adoption of MSFS's propellor physics and CFD capabilities in the C172, I'm waiting to see how capable 3rd party aircraft developers make use of these new features (both prop-based GA and jets/airliners)... we'll then be able to see the full extent of what's possible and what the limitations are I suspect. Was good to see all the great feedback on the CFD feature in the SU9 beta forum and how Asobo responded with further fixes/updates. Progress overall! Preferably they lower the number of releases per year so they can concentrate better on quality control in each individual update, currently they ship these updates out to a strict timeframe that they're clearly struggling with. April 28, 20224 yr it's like an old australian saying i heard a lot growing up if you're bored, buy yourself a harley or a jag (and now MSFS2020) because you'll always be fixing it

April 28, 20224 yr Hi,For me, with SU9, it seems that the issue of not being able to Arm the Spoilers so that they deploy automatically upon touchdown has been fixed. Yay! Also, the issue of the scoring not updating correctly for the Challenges, seems to also be fixed (at least in my case). They seem to be updating correctly for the Challenges that 've tested so far. In my case, this one was a "good update", so far. Thanks MS/Asobo.Mario Edited April 28, 20224 yr by Marioalberto spelling

Not trying to be awkward here, but fully adjustable props (sim and animations), full feathering, torque roll and accurate p factor were available from a number of addons in FSX and P3d starting around 2014 or maybe earlier. They are not new features but I suppose they are in MSFS. Edited April 28, 20224 yr by robert young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

Well ya I was talking about MSFS in terms of the features being "new" ... could care less about P3D or other older sims and whether they had it first or not, quite frankly speaking 🙂 Edited April 28, 20224 yr by lwt1971 Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD
April 28, 20224 yr There is an even longer annoying pause now in between "good day" when ATC signs off on a frequency handover but other than that I've like the new voices but there doesn't seem to be much variation still Drew Sikora Staff Blog Founder/Designer, MSE Airports

April 28, 20224 yr Very happy with the update. Everything was downloaded and installed within 11 minutes (Premium Deluxe, so that's the initial startup, the mandatory update, the contunued startup to the main screen AND the manual updates using the content manager!!!), startup seems faster, performance is just as good as it was, weather and clouds seem to look better, some nice turbulence, man, MSFS is a dream come true. Amazing. Not a flight goes by that I'm not thinking 'Wow.... never thought I'd ever experience this in my lifetime'. Awesome. Edited April 28, 20224 yr by tup61

My MSFS post SU9 is excellent, good FPS, clouds look great, weather is working as it should, no stutters, good stable performance. Couldn't ask for anything more.
