Lost performance after SU9 update.

I have to get back onnut statement that both my systems do not suffer from a performance loss.

Today I flew from Amsterdam Schiphol to Ajaccio Corse and the framerate stayed above 30.

However, I just did 45 min of sightseeing over the Netherlands: took off from Schiphol abd landed at Schiphol.
At landing I remarked stuttering so I checked the framerate :

B4-FE56-FF-265-C-417-C-AA6-F-21-A2-A2-BF

The pc is a 12900K @ 5.2 / 32 Gb 4266 cas 16 / 3090 / 2 Tb SSD M2 … With all SU before SU9 I had good framerates.

There is definitely something wrong now. Being it AIG models, or Landmark Objects from Flightsim.to or just a bug in SU9, this is not flyable to large airports this way …

I'm flying in and out of complex airports with NO deterioration and retaining smooth solid performance that I had previously, even on 5h flights.  Our sim install are very likely identical, but our Community Folders would be exceedingly different, so start there:  empty it, and replace the most important items to you in sequential order and hopefully you can pinpoint the culprit(s).

Before SU9 I had no issue …

Tomorrow I will start testing with an empty Community folder. I normally only have my departure and arrival airport active + Prosim ac.

And sometimes landmarks from flightsim.to.

Yes. But the issue is that the mere fact of HAVING the photogrammetry cities from your content manager installed hurts performance all over the world. And that is why this is an insidious bug. Who would think that having say, a photogrammetry city installed in Spain would affect your sim flying in, say, Phoenix? You wouldn't. No one would..but it does for a lot of people. So what I do, is when I'm flying in North America, I have all the world update photo cities uninstalled.

Then say, If I want to fly into Sydney, I'll install Sydney photogrammetry for the flight, then uninstall after. Same if I want to do some European Ops. Again, they're only a few 100 kbs so easy to do. I'm a big fan of the photogrammetry visuals so I'll just install them for the flight if I want to experience them

Oh really, who's having trouble w/ this 'insidious bug'?  I'm certainly not.  Why do I have NO PERFORMANCE issues whatsoever, have PG enabled and always have?  Where did you get this 'hurts performance all over the world' idea?  I do very long flights as well in 3rd party aircraft all over the planet.  I scratch my head when I read these net-theories presented as absolute fact.

Holy guacamole Batman!!!! This is it! I deleted those photogrammetry components as per the described fix and my ground FPS at KLAX has almost doubled! I went from 18 to 32 FPS on the tarmac. Unbelievable! Try it!

Sure, set all your settings to LOW and get double the performance too!

Calm down bud just because you’re not having an issue you don’t need to scratch your head at the thousands of other people who are…. It’s not a difficult concept to grasp. Different install different problem.

You don't get it. He's not disabling PG at the location he is flying at, but at ANOTHER location on the other side of the world. This has hardly anything to do with lowering settings.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Has Asobo commented on this bug? I myself am not affected, but I only fly in northern Europe and occasionally in New Zealand.

"Thousands of people" having an issue, where did you come up with that "fact"?

Something has changed with the release of SU9 that causes a framerate drop in certain situations.

Being it a certain ac , being it AIG or an addon airport , being it addon landmarks, etc..

It also can be that SU9 has a framerate drop inside the software and without Addons and not to high settings it might take up to eg 7h before the framerate drops below 10.

But when certain Addons / certain settings are being used this proces is being accelerated….

That's cool that you're not. Many are, and this has helped a lot of people. It's easy to do, but like most things in this sim, mileage will of course vary. Different setups, different configurations. If it doesn't help you, move along. It's great that you have perfect performance.

This is key. Never did I report a general fps loss but one in a very restricted case. Others have added other cases. As far as I recall, all were on ground and all (or most) were connected with PG.

It's well possible some systems/settings don't experience this. In this case counter-reports in the corresponding threads on the official forum would certainly help to isolate the issue.

Not at all. This is simply uninstalling some specific photogrammetry enhancements to a handful of cities associated with the World Updates. It's a very small amount of data compared to the updates, that can easily be removed or reinstalled few minutes. For me, none of these are anywhere near places I normally fly, and if I was, a specific area be reinstalled in seconds. AFAIK, this is a bug. There's no reason that photogrammetry in Lisbon should kill my frame rates on the tarmac in LAX, but it does. And removing them fixed it.

A good forum post with a lot of good testing going on regarding the issue.

Another one of these blokes taking every word literal. Go read the official forums, people are having issues. Personally I’ve never had issues with updates but people clearly are. Nobody said “thousands” was a fact… geez do people really live so serious all the time? Come to think of it, the amount of Xbox and Pc users having issues would easily be in thousands.

I'm not having the issue so other people who are having it are making it up is certainly a take.
