Milviz Cessna 310 Releasing May 4, 2022!

The analogue steam gauge arrows being large and obvious they are easier for me to aquire information quickly and warn me if I am not paying particular attenuation. A wrong needle direction being easier for me to notice than a number on a tape that is not that which is expected. With both types of systems, accelerations can be felt which are indicators too.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

So you think scanning six pack is easier than look at PFD tapes? Military adopted HUD for a reason! Primary and secondary instruments in one view!

Oh on the sim analogue is a lot easier to read- glass has always had the tiny font and unless you're very zoomed up, reading it can be difficult.

Thankfully the GTNs are touch screen and pretty amazing- I'm so thankful MV decided to incorporate those.

I saw a little of the preview stream on Twitch today. So much good stuff going on with that plane. The textures, wear and tear, systems…and OMG the sounds!

I can see why training and study was emphasized in these articles. If you want to use sophisticated glass displays, then you will need constant training. Which is fine if flying is your profession and your standard of living depends on how well you fly.

Driving a car on the highway is more dangerous than flying, but how many drivers continue on with drivers training after being licensed?

Law enforcement personnel carry Glocks more than all other brands of pistols combined. No safety lever, no decocker lever, no hammer. All 3 of these levers aren't there. The mag, slide, and take down release buttons were deliberately designed small, flat, and relatively hard to reach.

The goal was simplicity and to avoid confusion under stress. Typically civilian and military police are under trained. And their superior managers believe that their officers would not be well served by more sophisticated and capable instruments.

Bad outcome shooting statistics decreased when they switched to using Glocks. I am not surprised that there are fewer accidents by steam gauge general aviation pilots.

But round gauges is what I learned on, so that could be a major reason for my preference.

The sounds are a huge positive to this bird.

@fppilot I'm not sure at what specific time they plan on letting her rip.  Might have to take the entire day off haha!

I did as well.  However after flying fairly often with the setup in my friend's Beech, I would never want to go all analogue again.

That being said I'm not really a huge fan of tht G1000 - it's got too many buttons/knobs and too many ways to do one thing.  What I do like is the G3X and or G600 - and of course pick your GPS.

It looks and sounds amazing in Fabio's stream. Definitely a purchase.

Do we have pricing yet? This is the one airplane I have been waiting for along time... looks like I am going to be happy!

When you get this, do yourself a huge favor - open the side storm/vent window prior to starting. The sound...😂  I predict you will always have that window open for start - taxi - and shut down for every subsequent flight 👍

Yes, the G3X seems much better to me than the G1000 because it is simpler to navigate the information. I got a kick out of birdguy over on hangar talk saying he still has to pull over his Honda Prius off the highway and park. And then work with the glass display to turn on the heater when the weather gets cold.

It's a secret that you & I will know in two days. 😀

MSFS

The G1000 is still an incredibly powerful system, but controlling it is dated and cumbersome. This is really where Cirrus has nailed it with their Perspective/Perspective + suite. Once you get used to that, it’s hard to go back even to the smaller touchscreen options.

The release will be during the stream (May 4th, 1pm EDT).  Pricing will be announced once it goes live.  It's only on our store for now.  Product has to go through Marketplace testing and approvals.  That can take a month... or more.  We will, at the same time as it's released on the Marketplace, release it on Orbx.  No other vendors will have it at this time.
