FENIX A320 RELEASED!

Anyone with Bravo able to properly calibrate the reversers? I'm not. Could you please show the screenshot of your bindings? I must be doing something wrong, all other throttle positions are fine.

I haven't even started with setting up light switches yet 🙂

It took most of my time yesterday trying to get the A/T Disconnect button working (and even that is rather a hack)

I hear you there.

Anyway, I recommend the circling approach into Bolzano rwy 19. It's a bit terrifying, very challenging - but mostly very fun!

Cheers 😉

By the way what is the best version of Bolzano, Asobo or BMW?

Fenix A320 - £50. X-Plane Challenger (but with Half Life 2 style FOB + Gizmo) - £100. Ummm. Think I'll pass on the Challenger.

I enjoyed doing my first late departure report and wrote “it’s my first day” in the free text section 😂

I remember Aamir stating in Discord that the Fenix also has the same level of complex systems simulation as the CL650, however, they decided not to develop a UI to display all that complex stuff running in the background as it would not only take a lot of time, but also because most users would never really gain anything from it aside from just giving it a glance from time to time and just proclaiming “huh, cool”.

Does anyone have an isssue with entering ILS Freq course? I cannot enter a course, whenever I enter 073 it says Format Error. I've never had this issue with any other airbus addon, maybe its a bug?

The Challenger is mostly just gimmicky nonsense imo. And the price is ludicrous considering the platform it is running on.

SIMBrief Company route name? I've tried LIMLLIRF, LIMLLIRF01, not in database.

ACARS INIT works OK

Thanks

Did you save any file before? No need to do so. Plan you flight in Simbrief. Done. Then go to the A320 and import the flightplan using the EFB (using the red Fenix icon/app) and the MCDU. You have to tell the Fenix once your Simbrief Id though in Settings to pull your current active flightplan. NB: mcdu import is similar to FBW, so ATSU first and the RTE init. sorry, not in front of my PC now so just some broad thoughts where to look

Yup saw that on their discord.. would be cool if they enable some logging or other kind of viewports into the internals of the Fenix in the future though. Incredible what we're getting in just an initial release from an all-new dev.

I am very intrigued by what they have planned for the future, when Aamir said: "Not only will we be working on the aforementioned, but hundreds of other bits that caught our eye during development that couldn't be justified within the product scope...at that time. For us, the excitement of release is closing this chapter of development, and starting a whole new one. Everyday the list of "OOOOH LETS DO THIS" grows. Anyway, less talk more show on that front, we're excited."

Looks like it isn't currently possible to turn on integrated graphics on the ASUS Z690 series of boards if there's a GPU installed. The option simply disappears from the BIOS, according to various searches. Harumph.

Not true, I am watching amazon prime on my second monitor plugged in directly to the graphics port on the ASUS ROG Stryx Z690 (12700K) mainboard. MSFS is running on GTX1070 on 4k monitor.

So far I am very happy with the Fenix, fps capped at 30, no stutters.
