May 20, 20224 yr The one thing I've seen that will cause problems is if I turn on AIGTC and have it set to inject traffic at 100%. I've lowered it to 70% and this flight has been fine. It's busy at KBWI at 6 AM on a Friday morning. I'm very happy at the moment. My last 10 flights or so in the FBW, PMDG 737, and now the Fenix A320 have all been incredible. There's still room for improvement, but I finally feel like I've got a solid sim that I don't have to screw around with for 2 hours every time I want to take a 1-1/2 hour flight. Now I can hop onto Flightaware, pick basically any flight with a flight duration that I want, get into Simbrief, pick the correct airframe (!!!), and hit go. Once in the sim, everything just works (except for those stinky bridges that just ruin the entire... wall that holds water back... thing). 🙂 This is the best Flight Simulator experience ever! i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

Thats a huge increase, thank you, will try that, not that am having problems but, I like to have headroom. 7-10 FPS boost is huge. Do they look a lot diffrent on "balanced"? David Murden. May 20, 20224 yr Interesting info. For me: • onboard graphics rendering the displays • Fenix displays set to PERFORMANCE That's on a I9 9900K (4,7ghz I think), 1080ti, 32G, 1440p and only a few settings set to ULTRA in MSFS. Looks like I need to do some more tweaking. i9 9900K at 4.9ghz, MSI RTX 3080, 32 G RAM, (3) 1TB SSD
May 20, 20224 yr Hey David, I just used your new checklist for the flight I'm at FL400 in now. Worked great! There were a feww items I just couldn't find, but I haven't turned an airplane into a pile of twisted metal without knowing where they were before so I just pressed on... Dang. As I was typing this reply, I started getting alarms, horns, buzzers, flashing lights, and an AP disconnect. Mental note: When flying a 737 route in an A320... Service ceiling matters. May 20, 20224 yr The gauges detoriate quite much on my 4K screen, even on "Balanced" the digits start to blur. "Performance" is not acceptable tbh, looks like FXAA antialising from FSX/P3D days. Like I wrote in the main Fenix-thread, for those of us who have onboard GPU (not applicable to F-models on Intel), activate it in BIOS if you haven't already, and update latest drivers. Re-boot and put these puny chips to work and let them render the displays. My performance woes are over. EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12

Then somebody from Ops sent me a message making me send an ADC excuse. And I was only 1 minute late getting off of the stand! I used code "OTH" and then put "Pilot is a dufus" in the free text field. May 20, 20224 yr So it is possible to have the integrated GPU (in my 12900K) doing the flat screens, and my 3080 rendering everything everything else to the same monitor at the same time? I never knew this was possible. Seems like a novel solution to help performance. Has any other developer implemented something like this? Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Do they look a lot diffrent on "balanced"? They looked alright to me on "performance" at 1440p 27". When in balanced I was only getting 18-24 fps, now I get 30 fps VSync. I did also change Nvidia power settings to Max Performance when running MFS so that could've been the cause too, but I'm minded to think it was the display rendering. I wonder if turning of the FO's displays with the dimmer switch would help things? May 20, 20224 yr It is. I've got them running off of my integrated Intel 630 GPU. I have it set to quality, and they look great to me. I'm running 3440x1440. I've switched it to my 20280ti but I really didn't notice any changes so I moved it back. I have no idea if it makes an FPS difference. The "new me" has implemented a frame counter moratorium and I just don't care. The sim is smooth. A few minor stutters here and there, but that's normal for a sim.
