I think we have a winner here. With the update (and displays running in Quality on the GPU - 2080ti) I just achieved my first stutter free landing in the Fenix at Flytampa KLAS. I was able to land, take the high speed turnoff, kill the lights, up the flaps, start the APU, and get permission to taxi to B21 without coming to a stop. I recently installed the Taxi Ribbons Assistant, which lets you toggle them on and off easily, so I had a nice orderly roll to the gate. After starting the unloading process, I hit drone mode. Traffic controller was still running. 70% traffic enabled. Everything moving around on the airport was moving smoothly.

I have no idea what my frame rates are, but it was a highly acceptable flight except for 2 things. First, I caught a severe updraft crossing the mountains. I was at FL360 and about 30 seconds later I had AP disconnect, alarms, and was climbing through 37800. I leveled her off at FL380, asked ATC for a 2K increase, which was granted. The other thing... My arms are getting tired because the marshaller has been standing in front of the nose with his arms in the air for the last 10 minutes.

Where to get this addon? Also how do you know what gate to park at once you land? I don't fly online with VATSIM or anything. Always have a hard time figuring where to park after I land.

It runs outside of the sim. Just start it whenever you need it. I have 2 monitors, so I usually start it somewhere during the STAR. Press Ctrl for the length of time you set the slider to to toggle them on/off. Close the app when you are done with it. No fuss, no muss.

Yeah and its not looking at anything. Its basically staring out the windscreen.

Very bad comparison to be honest.

I did. Mine is an i9-10900k. This is the list of drivers available for me.

Thats correct same as mine - but why would I do this - I would think its going to get very confusing for the operating system to have both video capabilities on at the same time in bios - no ? anyone seeing much of a benefit to do this

Update: Found the answer on Discord. Display multithreading turns on multithreading for CPU.

Well no issues all seems well give it a go on Fenix now - make sure your onboard gpu is on before loading driver otherwise it cant load the driver

I gained around 3-5 FPS in the cockpit. PMDG still outperforms by around 10% in most scenarios on my setup but both are smooth and a joy to fly. I've just been switching back and forth pretty much every flight.

I love the humour of the developers. How they threw in this gem into the list of fixes just to see if people actually read those:

Gained nothing. Upgraded to the latest 630 IGPU drivers just to be safe. Still exactly the same performance.  Not that it's unplayable, but it takes a good FPS dive in and around major airports... I was so hopeful.

Exactly waste of time here - guess its nice to have options for others

Same, updating the iGPU drivers did nothing for me. I let my GPU handle the displays and I get better performance that way instead.

Did you find that GPU is better than CPU ?

Rich Sennett

Well Pmdg is just a basic port, with a screwy view system. Does not include a tablet. Nor much of the native features implemented by Fenix. So this is a win .. for Fenix.
