We have to factor in that there is basically no advertisement for XP12 on steam though

Based on the link from abrams_tank, they are advertising to current xplane 11 users in game via popup.

Yes, but that's also a limited target audience. 1200 steam xp11 users right now which can get the popup. Compared to hundreds of thousands of possibly interested steam users.

I am now 100% devoted to XP12 because I do not have enough time for both, and I want to contribute to make XP12 a valuable investment for all of those users who, just like me, appreciate it's strong points. Their dev team is as active as ASOBO, within the necessary constraints imposed by size & budget, but both the guys @ ASOBO and the guys @ LR are passionate about their work ! and that's good enough for me to find good reasons to believe in them and support their work.

I agree with you, I really want to like XP and I actually did so - but I am not yet mature enough to forget what word not allowed some of the pillars of XPs' community were talking about MSFS. It was very unprofessional and felt like promotion for some kind of religion. Guys who are actually contracted by LR itself.

On the other hand, I've not heard anyone officially involved with MSFS talking bad about XP.

@tweekz, I honestly don't see LR hiring people to spam the forums with anti-MFS, as I don't see ASOBO doing the opposite...

Anyway whatever people do, their actions, stay with them, and the Universe responds back ...

I like XP12 for what it can become, just as I liked MFS when I tried the first beta, even with it-s many quirks. The only thing I really don-t like about XP12 right now is the stress it puts in my poor RTX 3060 Ti which could gladly run MFS without getting so hot 😞

I have posted lots of pictures and videos of MSFS, its a wonderful simulator. I can't get enough of PMDG B737!  I have been using XP12 since the day of release.  Although it requires more effort than MSFS, it is still a stunning sim.  Here is a small video of my last XP-12 flight over the Yorkshire Dales in the UK.

What a fantastic time for flight simulation!

It's ok but not enough to entice the $60 out of me when I can load up default Out Skerries in MSFS and have my jaw hit the floor.

This is why it is a fantastic time for flight simulation - choose one or use both, its great!

XP is dead as is P3D. Building addons for XP is a good way to ruin your company

Yeah, like building accessories  for flip phones and VHS players. 😉

And yet, people continue to visit the Piramids...

Some dead people are actually a lot more "active" and important after death than while living their lives.

And for a spiritualist like me, who strongly believes in Life after Death, XP12 is like a Transe...  I feel myself Levitating with Dua Lipa every time I load XP12, while MFS ties my spirit to the ground - it's gorgeous for sure in MFS ... the ground...

Well. The point is, there is almost every plane of importance in XP11. If they port them over for 10$, they won't make lot of money from it.
