Is iniBuilds going all in on MSFS?

but, again unsurprisingly, those fans of other sim who absolutely hate that now contort themselves even further to try an downplay it all. I mean, be happy with your sim or sims of choice... and don't get triggered after all these years of stagnancy in flight simming that kept the focus on your sims, and now that MSFS has come and upended things

Sadly this is the way things are. Something in the human DNA makes us competitive in every aspect of existence, be it important things like who has the most and best food to survive on, to petty things like....flightsim platforms or Airbus developers.🙄

At the end of every thread like this that gets eventually locked when the mods have seen enough, what was accomplished?  Did anyone walk away with their right-fighter pride in tact?  Did they wish they coulda' dropped in one more post before it was locked to get the last word? Were they triggered enough to try and start another thread about the same subject just so they could make their point?

This freaking phenomenon is sickening to me, and although we've had spirited discussions in the past when there were only two main simming platforms, when MSFS hit the market, things got exponentially worse.

I know that there can be a "fun" component to it when you participate and present your point of view, I enjoy it too when I see an opportunity to contribute what I know about the subject. But lately, the key word you used and is completely accurate....folks seem to get "triggered" so quickly when they see a post that does not conform to their views.

I've had to refrain from many posts that have spouted patently false assumptions about a few vendors I'm beta testing for, partly because of NDAs, but mostly because my reply would not be polite in any way if I didn't rewrite and proof it several times, then just not posting it all together...knowing the childish response(s) it would generate.  Plus, as a member of any beta team, you have (or should have) a modicum of self-control to bite your tongue when you see folks here make speculations you know for a fact are not true.  You know if you reply, you instantly become a target for their wrath, and they'll do everything from personally insulting you to blaming you because a title of a button on the overhead was 2 pixels to the left. 🤣

This forum has the amazing appearance of echoing how the world's people are now tending to interact with each other.  With the ability to hide behind a keyboard, folks feel emboldened that they can speak irrationally because there are no real consequences.

Wait for it...

Steve Dra

Abrams was talking about visuals in a thread about visuals. You were so butthurt by what he said, you had to jump in and start talking about flight models, avionics and other things not related to the discussion at hand. It's a textbook example of why some people have to wonder about cult-like behavior. You derailed the thread. Not @abrams_tank, YOU.

More selective reading...

"For me, XP 12 will always be an inferior product..."

If thats not a biased one about an unreleased product there is no bias in this world. Keep trying to mock people's intelligence by choosing ehat to quotr based on your position and think its working, all good😂

You're doing a wonderful job of that all by yourself. He was still talking about visuals in a thread about visuals when you were the one jumping in and sounding desperate. Make better use of your time....better yet, go help Austin make a sim with a convincing world rather than a plausible one.

How do you get over looking at the crumby looking scenery?

"- free Ortho scenery for the airfield location with XPLane 'plausible' autogen - given the usual dodgy weather and the limited view from the cockpit this is fine (sometimes better than MSFS which can put great office blocks where a farm should be)"

It's good enough for purpose, especially in poor weather - I'm not sightseeing, I'm flying a traffic pattern with multiple other aircraft, in a complex aircraft with limited view out.
Real world in this situation the flying pilot might not look out until 500 ft or below, with just the runway ahead.

Just about all other use cases MSFS is mostly superior .... XPlane has the helicopters I want to fly but really need better scenery for helos, P3D has the wide range of old jets but the scenery is REALLY poor and you do need to look out in a Hunter at 200 ft...

He said inferior product and I gave my views about what is important to a product that is aimed at flight simulation, hence talked about all the other stuff. Kinda astonished I have to explain this, don't twist my intentions.

He did not say "inferior graphics".

Both statements either way are about an unrelesed product, with no point other than keeping a narrative.

Now move on from this nitpicking, im not the one calling people rabid dogs and cult.

Hey cultist. Turn your brain on and listen to me very carefully. He was commenting on the visuals. He said the product was inferior because of the visuals. The same way you think MSFS is an inferior product because of its flight model. He was talking about visuals and you got butthurt so you jumped in crying about everything that makes your unreleased, uglier looking sim, better.

We aren’t spending small fortunes trying to get our sims to look as real as possible

I spent $400 on an IndusGT 5.25 floppy disk machine that loaded Sublogic's ATP about 20% faster than my default floppy disk reader....now THOSE were the days of crazy spending!

Oh...and I also bought a math co-processor for my 386SX because someone on a Prodigy bulletin board said it would increase performance...and I thought I was high tech when I went from 2mb (yes, megabytes) of ram to FOUR!

Note how you revert to personal insults, you seem very angry, maybe the classical dig your own hole when you are wrong behavior just hit you.

No worries as I have a very thick skin coming from a very conflicted middle east conutry, but definitely not helping your case.

Guys.  This thread may be too far along to be saved.  But take a minute before you post and ask your self a simple question.  Is your post about the topic at hand.  If not please don't post it.  I think all of us have read enough of the my sim vs your sim thing.

I'm just glad I could load my Sublogic Flight Simulator via floppy disks on the Commodore 64, before that had to load in programs and games on cassette tapes which sometimes took hours. And yes, also remember the "wondrous" intel 387 math co-processor which only ever got used by maybe one or two of my programs ever 😅

Anyhow, you plan to do any liveries for the iniBuilds A310? 🙂 .. From reading the XP11 A310 reviews looks like iniBuilds usually provides a lot of liveries by default.

I have a hypoxia mask that I use for altitude training on the bike.  A real machine that starves the oxygen not just a mask that restricts breathing.  It can simulate up to 29,000 feet.

Totally saturated with paints right now.  I'm currently getting PMDG -600s ready for the release....this one being my fav....(this is the P3d version I'm bringing over to MSFS)

Would love to do an LH, FedEx, etc on the 310...but I'm quite confident the MSFS painting community will flood flightsim.to with 310 paints when she's released. 😉

Please don't lock this thread yet.  Maybe we can finally have some productive discussion on the topic if the pro XP posters have finally had their say and are willing to let us continue discussing this topic in peace.

Kudos to the mods for letting this one go. Hopefully the anti-MSFS posts will flame out and the OP can have the discussion he wanted.

Yes, thanks to the mods for not locking this thread yet.

Anyways, back on topic, I assume the iniBuilds 310 for MSFS is released this year.  While it could be released next year, I am going to guess this year is probably more likely.  But that means iniBuilds would probably need to enter beta with their iniBuilds 310 for MSFS no later than the end of 3rd quarter, so no later than the end of September.

Assuming the A310 sells well in MSFS for iniBuilds (it should sell well, unless the reviews are really bad and it has a lot of missing features or a lot of bugs, or the price is absurdly expensive), I can see the Beluga or A300 next in MSFS.  Eventually, if the sales are good, I can see iniBuilds bringing their whole line of planes to MSFS.

Since I've never purchased iniBuilds aircrafts before during the time I was using P3D/XP, do they usually have a pattern when they first announce and then go thru a beta period? Or is it the case when they usually do make official statements then the aircraft is very close to release? Based on their discord statements they seem close to saying something "official", hopefully they provide a release timeline then as well.
