Gamescom MSFS surprise announcement

Recommended Posts

Well folks, as per the recent 'Developer Q&A' roadmap, this week Microsoft will apparently announce a surprise for MSFS at Gamescom which kicked off last night.

I would imagine this will be more than just a new aircraft, and as the huge 40th edition expansion has already been announced, it has left me scratching my head as to what this could be? Perhaps it will be seasons (considering autumn is fast approaching the Northern Hemisphere), or maybe a career mode, or perhaps seasonally migrating birds/wildlife or tides as Joern had once mentioned.

My guess is it might be seasons or a career mode. It must be something fairly big and visually interesting for them to annouce it at Gamescom in which they are showcasing the best that MS has to offer and trying to entice people to buy into the Xbox brand whether it is for console or PC. Any ideas?

Really? That's it? I had hoped it might be something a bit bigger and more global like seasons.

I can't view instagram as I refuse to use facebook.

City Update 1 isn't the only announcement tomorrow, Jorge says there's multiple announcements. it's just the only one we know of right now.

We're also getting Local Legend 6, and another 40th Anniversary Trailer according to the roadmap.

Sigh. Was secretly hoping that the surprise announcement was that they would devote all their efforts to optimize the code to prevent CTDs from occuring. How silly and naive of me to think that, lol.

Haven't had a CTD in over a year except one day last month when I had 3 in a row.  I hope they don't try and fix something and cause problems.

Hopefully Seb will have a great time. He looked a bit tired in the latest QA.
