Quite frankly the CN tower needs to be a handcrafted POI rather than photogrammetry based (given all the other less important POIs they do).  Well, good that we have better DEM data especially around the west and northwest of Canada, but if Toronto is a downgrade from pre-WU11 then I guess it's a skip for me until some of these more glaring issues are fixed. @abrams_tank would you say Vancouver overall is a downgrade from pre-WU11 too, or better than before but not as good as Edmonton PG wise?

Vancouver is hit or miss with the new World Update.  Vancouver has more photogrammetry now, which is good.  But some of the photogrammetry is pretty bad, so I don't know how to rate this World Update.

For example, this is Metrotown shopping center in Burnaby, which is metro Vancouver:

I'm happy that there is photogrammetry for Burnaby now.  But when the photogrammetry looks like this, I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing 🤣

Is anyone's else's loading screen in French following the WU10 release?

Which makes it worse than before IMHO... the vegetation is wrong... the look of the whole place is a mess.

The best part of WU11 for me, is that it can be uninstalled. 🙂

The photogrammetry is good for Edmonton though.  I would like to keep Canada World Update for Edmonton. But just remove it for Vancouver. Hehe, I wish I could chop up the Canada World Update into separate pieces - keep Edmonton, remove Vancouver 🤣

Same as the Italy update before it. Never been back to Italy since.

That´s why i never use PG, who is lucky with sutch an apocalyptic look..😏

Admittedly I haven't flown much in Canada before this update, but I had a look around Montreal and it looked pretty good!

Not much melted buildings or anything, but it lost connection to the server a couple of times during the session. I guess that's just because everybody is testing it out.

I had a similar feeling about the second USA World Update. I loved practically all of it -- except for my nearby city of Charleston, WV, which was given photogrammetry. The city itself looked great. But the surrounding area was totally trashed in all directions. It would be wonderful if, as you say, we could separate areas of photogrammetry that we didn't like (and remove them) from areas that we do like (and keep them).

I think this also has a lot to do with the Asobo servers. Especially on update night when everyone wants to download and fly the new areas. Their servers are simply incapable of streaming the volumes of data needed to make the photogrammetry look good. 

it will explain why in a week or two you can fly the same area and it won’t look as bad.

I have received a couple messages flying around Canada now about bandwidth being too low and switching to offline mode. It’s not my bandwidth that is the problem….

What would be nice is if the FSimStudio folks did a scenery package for Vancouver.  The photogrammetry for the houses and other non-important buildings can stay. But for major landmarks and locations, if FSimStudio did a scenery package to fix some stuff, metro Vancouver could look pretty good with this photogrammetry.

Yeah, I'm gonna try it again in a few days, or a week later. Maybe the photogrammetry will get better for metro Vancouver, maybe it won't. I guess I will see.

I did see pretty good photogrammetry for the Edmonton area. For example, this is University of Alberta photogrammetry:

The yellow building above is called the Butterdome at the University of Alberta. IMO, the photogrammetry is quite good and that's what the Butterdome looks like.

When I went to University of British Columbia though, the photogrammetry was pretty bad though 🤣. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, maybe it's a server issue and that's why the Vancouver photogrammetry was bad, and I lucked out and got good photogrammetry in Edmonton.
