October 13, 20223 yr Really enjoyed my first flight. Will have to adjust my throttle calibrations in FSUIPC…as of now pulling it back to the stop puts it into beta rather than idle…did that accidentally when landing which resulted in a firm landing to say the least! 😀 Edited October 13, 20223 yr by regis9 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

October 13, 20223 yr It must be something simple but for the life of me I can't see how to get the PMS 750 or 530 to show in the cockpit? Is there an avionics options setting somewhere?

Yup I learned that the hard way in the Caravan. Need to look after the engines, never put torque beyond the red line. Also beware as the turbuprops spool up slower than piston engines so might have to reduce torque during takeoff roll. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

I get that too - I think external power is connected by default for some reason. Didn't do much troubleshooting beyond that, I just deleted that particular livery for the default Caravan. Edit: that resolved the lock-up issue. If some of the 3rd party livery creators are using panel.cfg settings to remove the type-your-own registration, I'd imagine you can add those lines to the Black Square panel.cfg and accomplish the same thing. (I'm sure you've already thought of doing that...truth is, I hadn't, until you mentioned the panel.cfg. Yeah so what I've done to avoid having the panel.cfg is use the very specific "null characters" and spacing on the ATC ID line in the aircraft.cfg. This clears out the exterior dynamic registration. Downside is though that it clear the interior VC placard. I did try having a panel.cfg in with the paint mod but then it shows pink interiors.... some of the MSFS texture fallback logic still alludes me honestly. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

The TL:DR version: the reduction gearbox could potentially separate from the turbine shaft. The light indicates the possibility of “chip” damage detected ie you are blowing metal (“chips”) from the coupling and it is detecting it…hence your blown up engines. Thanks Captain so how does one prevent that happening? on take off I put throttles to max for example… can I carry on flying now? Or is the damage done! appreciated

Do you get a prize if you amass a certain number? I think saying thank you is much better. PS If it means so much to you I'll give you a like. Wow! I've just noticed that you have lots of them.😂 Edited October 13, 20223 yr by jarmstro

Or is the damage done! appreciated Don't shove the throttles to max at takeoff. There's a max torque you should respect, I think it's indicated with a red line on the gauge. I don't know what the POH says but in the sim you can continue the flight but if you keep exceeding the max torque the problem will get worse until the engine is destroyed. In real life you might need to land as soon as possible (or at least practical) to get the engine checked and possibly repaired. The cost of that alone should be a reason to take the max torque into account. There's a freeware one at flightsim.to - I was just about to update it with my analogue mod but the site said I can only do 3 uploads per hour... the horror LOL Anyway for anyone who's wanting liveries.... you can go to flightsim.to and Search by Beechcraft Kingair and sort by Newest... you should see a few start to show up that I modified. These aren't my liveries but just pathways to make them appear with the new analogue king air. ***Make sure to grab the original livery first*** https://flightsim.to/c/liveries/beechcraft-king-air/ Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Edited October 13, 20223 yr by ryanbatc | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
