WANT. can you upload the stuff we need to get it to work properly? I'd learn how, but i'm short on time at the moment.

I think so - as it only points to the textures from the 3rd party author.

Got her airborne from C+D - had to delve back into old manuals because it's been awhile.

And wow - lots of depth...  O2 simulation, I already overheated my left gen oooops (back to the manuals it looks like).  Textures are awesome and readable.  Tons of switches - such a pilot's plane.  Also has support for PMS (I use TDS), and stock GNS 530 (will be nice once WT finishes their major upgrade).  This is a winner!

I'm enjoying it, for sure.

Good aircraft if you like staying busy while flying.

Got another 3rd party livery working - and panel lighting is really nice - haven't seen many nighttime shots yet

Ryan that livery is awesome. I'm a bit jealous flying around in the ASXGS. And yeah the night lighting in the cockpit is really good. Any possibility you could share the liveries with us? Please? 🙂

The liveries are from here but I'm trying to figure out something at the moment...plus I have to seek approval from any of the authors on these paints

Apparently there is not a good way (or that I am aware of) to make a texture fallback to another 3rd party livery while using a panel.cfg in the paint.  These fancy KA paints I'm showing use a panel.cfg to delete the exterior dynamic tail number -which makes the paint look really sharp.  I hate the dynamic because it looks tacky.  I'm aware some people like this though.

So maybe I can ask the dev if this is possible....  or I'd have to ask the paint authors to upload a version for the Black Square....

It's all working great with the TDS but another use found a bug where the GNS530 is white and the PMS is pink in the cockpit with third party liveries (that also use custom panel folders in their paint)

On my first flight now, got it started up and in the air without damaging anything.

So far so good, only but I’ve noticed so far is that with one GNS530, the pop out screen shows up as the GTN750.  If I switch the panel to a pair of GNS530, I get a pop out with each (a 750 and a 530).  Primarily this matters for me as in use the RealSimGear GNS530.  The hardware controls will control both units which I’ve never seen before.

I'm looking for a couple of people to test some livery packages - to make sure they're working.  I had the king ranch working but it's no longer showing in my livery list.  It's totally bizarre.  Almost like there are a maximum number of liveries for the default king air.  Send me a message if you're interested please and thanks.

Don't get me wrong. Rule Britannia and I love Just Flight. But at least, please, include some liveries for the plane at this price. I can't be doing with  hacking files to get a livery to work. It's too dear. It's just too dear for what you get. How do I get out of the plane at the end of a flight? The doors won't open!

Welcome to Just Flight's mighty King Air !

Such a lovely plane. Such a lovely plane.

You can fly anywhere you want.

But you can't ever leave.

How does this compare the C414?

Hard to do a direct compare since the C414 has its own model, sounds animations etc.

I own that one as well and really enjoy it.  I love analogue planes with a touch of glass (usually avionics etc or partial PFD like Collins etc) so this one fits my flying perfectly.  And it supports TDS GTN Xi.  I would like to see some flight model adjustment - some day beta range, and the ability to slow down a lot better (both of these issues/limitations are mentioned in the BS manual).  But overall it's really nice.  It's obviously faster than the 414 (at FL210 the piston does about 220 and this one would do around 280 - that's a mile a minute faster).  I'd honestly say this one edges out the 414 slightly for systems depth...it does have failures it has working circuit breakers.  Instrument-wise, they're both really similar - both have a legion of IFR instruments, VOR1/2, ADF, GNS or GTN (PMS and TDS) support, DME etc.  And both have anti icing systems and both are pressurized.  As for runway length operation...  I think the King air 350 would have the edge with its reverse pitch props but I'm not certain off the top of my head.

Get them both haha!

Someone over at MS forum said this was a fantasy plane because the KA 350i never came with analog gauges. I admit the comment stuck in my head. Anyone care to comment on this?
