It's a win-win situation. Both companies make more sales now, than otherwise would have been achieved if the synergy didn't exist. Thanks for that. Makes sense I guess lol it looks like that LM is going to Unreal engine and that is going to use black shark.ai Which sort of leads one to the conclusion That in the future Lockheed Martin and Microsoft are going to be using the same or similar Scenery. That just doesn’t compute given the little bit we know right now. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see who else has some important information to announce. December 1, 20223 yr Do you guys honestly believe that there's nothing in Microsoft's contract with BlackShark that forbids BlackShark from incorporating their Microsoft-purchased technology into a competing flight sim? Microsoft's attorneys are not that slipshod. BlackShark's technology will certainly be used in other computer software and simulations, but, for legal reasons, never in a flight simulator that competes directly against MSFS. This scenario was foreseen -- and contractually forestalled -- before MSFS was ever released. Unless you were involved in those discussions we have no idea the innards of the Blackshark/Asobo agreement. For all we know Blackshark would only provide Asobo/MS the data if they weren't forced to sign a non-compete. You actually don't who who was holding the red lines in that discussion unless you do and then please tell... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Here's what I don't understand: If you want a flight sim that incorporates the BlackShark technology used in MSFS, and you want a flight sim with satellite photo-real scenery like MSFS, there seems to be an obvious solution. Also remember that this scenery must be streamed, unless you have storage capacity in excess of 2 petabytes. I think most here would much prefer deeper systems and with developers who care more about the numbers than super accurate trees. It’s just something that you guys who support the Microsoft thing Just never seem to understand. Like anyone else we would love to take it vantage of some of the things these new technologies offer but that does not necessarily mean that we want to start downloading the Library of Congress every two weeks to our computer. I don’t mean to seem like a smart Alec just trying to clear up why we are interested in what may become of this. A platform that doesnt need to cater to Xbox, a platform that has TRUE multi monitor support and viewgroups, a platform thats has develepers that actually know what they are doing, I will take that any day of the week.

Wow, an A310, an aging plane on its way to permanent retirement with only 31 left in service. Why not something like an Airbus A330 or A350 which is much more prevalent and popular?
