I don't really agree with your comment, but I upvoted anyway because your freeware airports are amazing. 🙂 Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit. Spud's airports are incredible and yeah, he does them for free. 🙂 https://flightsim.to/profile/superspud/popular The guy has almost half a million downloads for his MSFS work. If you fly in the UK and don't have his airports, go and get them! March 28, 20233 yr @OzWhitey That still does not mean that he expects others who live of producing payware, to Invest time and work and not get paid.

What do you mean "not get paid"? We all paid for Dublin. Updating the airport to the current layout is usually part of the after-purchase support. I never had to pay a V2 for FlyTampa or Flightbeam (KDEN recently, for example). So he has a point. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
March 28, 20233 yr I kind of agree with Fiorentoni, ( i dont know how to do the @ thing ) lol, but its been a common thing for some devs to do, anyway however we dont know how much the upgrade is going to be do we ? also i dont know how much work there has been involved but i do understand his annoyance , i will wait until release for further comments , i do like MK though lets see how much wonga they want !! March 28, 20233 yr The problem I have with them charging for a version 2 is that their version 1 was a sub par portover from P3D. In my opinion it was a quick and dirty portover to cash in on the release of MSFS soon after it came out. It never sat well with me. The textures show that as well as the issues people have with it. I bought it upon its release and immediately thought it was very lazy of the developer. Charging for a V2 of an already substandard product is absolutely taking the mickey. It would be different perhaps if it were already to a very high standard. It wasn't cheap either.

I also suspect a large set of their v1 customers (like me) feel they never got their money's worth due to CTD issues. I stopped even trying to use the airport a long time ago. Let's see what they want for this update, but whether or not I ultimately decide to buy it, I can't say the way has gone down so far has built much goodwill toward the developer for me. James
March 29, 20233 yr I flew there exactly once and that flight ended in a CTD. I then read about the CTD issues and decided to not fly there again until Asobo fixes the issue. I didn't even got to enjoy v1 and now they ask to pay for v2...
March 29, 20233 yr The CTD issue has been persistent since MSFS released. You can fly in and out of Dublin one day, then the next day you'll have constant CTD's. Its an area that needs to be fixed by Asobo internally. As much as I would love a V2 of Dublin, I will hold off on this purchase until Asobo fix this area.

Never had a CTD around Dublin while running both MKS' EIDW v1 and Orbx Landmarks Dublin City, while flying either the Fenix A320 or the PMDG 737. Performance is an issue, however. MKS' scenery is definitely not optimised for MSFS. Do either of you use Navigraph's AIRAC package to overwrite the sim's own nav data? Perhaps Navigraph's updates to the base nav data prevents the CTDs? What you described might be typical for any area. If you have a CTD in a specific area with specific FT, it should be reproducible in 100% cases. Like VDGS issue with ENGM by ORBX, when there was 100% chance of CTD once you approach the airport. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
