While we wait for KSFO... KOAK is an option

It looks like the first decent Oakland in the history of simulations. This side of the bay has a great view of San Francisco.

Which is, as far as I heard, the only thing it has going for it. 😉

KOAK IRL has better flight schedules for Southwest to Portland.  It's also an easy BART ride! ✈️

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Speaking for myself, a new version of KOAK was very needed because I use it very often for multiple purposes. Thank you for the heads up of the good news of its released.

I used to be based there, so it's got a special place in my heart. It looks pretty darn good. One extremely small critique is the marshland to the right of T2 doesn't look marshy enough.

Otherwise, they've nailed the terminal, the entryway is even smack on, and the approach to the terminal with all the ad signs, roads, etc. looks great. Cargo area looks pretty good too. I'm going to pick this up for sure.

I would be much looking forward to a good KPHX, too, but their recent KPHX got mixed review, thus I'm undecided yet. Plus, the speed with which BMW/AMsim release major hubs might be a bit .. concerning?

Kind regards, Michael

Made me think of a Simpsons reference: "Swim toward San Francisco!" "I'm not made of money! We'll swim to Oakland."

Nice to see a good KOAK rendition, don’t think we’ve ever had one over the past few sims.

Agreed to an extent. Their SEA is still a terrible performer for me, but it looks good.

OAK looks great, but no idea on performance in an already extremely demanding area.

I got the one from FSXCENERY and it seems really good, its been out for awhile.

I think their KSEA is good. It does run a little tough on my system compared to any other airport I own. I really enjoy their PHX too and it runs nice so I won't be buying PHX from flightbeam whenever it comes. Won't be buying OAK though as I don't fly southwest in sim. Flightbeam does have me holding out for their SFO. Over the years I just fly more to SFO than I do OAK or SJC

I bit the bullet and bought it. Runs pretty good on my old i7700K/1080Ti but only with LVFR statics. Minimal stuttering. That was using the PMDG 37.

I flew from KOAK only once... So take my memories with a grain of salt. But with that said, the entrance seems really accurate. I remember it quite well. I feel as though this rendition of KOAK is actually rather nice. I was skeptical after their KSEA and KPHX (the latter I did not buy), but KOAK seems like such a rare airport to get in a payware rendition that I bought it instantly So far very happy with my purchase. Good performance too, even when it's in proximity to KSFO and KSJC
