It makes a mockery of those expensive neutral tint aviator sun-glasses! Sometimes, someone brings a mod out on FS.to that removes the tint. On other occasions, some Carenado aircraft have had some tinted and some not tinted depending on the colour scheme you choose. I tend to go with non-tinted if I can. Carenado put a tint on the glass which reverts the textures back to MSFS default yuckiness from the cockpit. 🙂 CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090 Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440 Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

Hi John, I just flew the R04 LPV approach, both in the GNS530 and GTN750Xi. The only thing I noticed, is that the GNS530 version requires you to manually adjust/turn the Course needle on the HSI after each waypoint.. which is actually the way the real airplane behaves. What are you seeing? Bert

From my experience flight instructing, the vast majority of airplanes that had a GPS retrofitted (especially a G4/530) usually had one of the VOR indicators replaced with one compatible with the Garmin, and the second one was often original to the airplane (and tied to an old standalone nav radio), and didn't have glideslope capability.

What are you seeing? Bert - Thank you for tweaking my curiosity! After reading your response and realizing that I was doing exactly what you were doing, I tried it again. Again, RNAV would not intercept the glide slope. So, I went to the content manager and searched for Working Title. The Garmin GNS 430/530 Version # 1.1.4 was not installed, but the Garmin 430/530 with a higher version # was installed. The Garmin G1000 NXI version # 0.14.0 was also not installed and the same item with a higher version number was. On a whim, I installed the lower number without removing the higher number on both, figuring I would see what it would do with the next step being the removal of the higher number. I never got that far because it is now working. I had noticed on videos that the Garmin 530 went through the startup procedures and I had never seen it on my aircraft. It went through it when I started up again after installing these two (lower version) programs. Doesn't make sense, but it's working as advertised and I want to thank you for pushing me just a little further to make it work. Maybe this will help someone else. By the way - I had read somewhere that the older number should be removed, but it didn't make sense that they were just hanging out there. Don't understand, but it's working. This 80 year old Flight Simulator veteran says "Thanks again"! John Wingold
