FSLTL a/c no wheels

Featured Replies

When I load  FSLTL most a/c do not show any wheels. The fact that other airport vehicles driving between the a/c even show rotating wheels makes this looking very strange when the a/c has none. Is there any setting that can cause this, or is it just another MS LOD issue?

I find this very annoying also.  I only fly on VATSIM but find that most of the time the landing gear on other aircraft doesn't appear until they are in quite close range of your camera.  I'm also keen to know why this happens and to get it fixed.  It's immersion breaking.

My biggest gripe is the bouncing up and down when rolling. Not sure if that's on Asobo or FSLTL though.

It then seems that MS/Asobo has sacrificed many distant details (LOD) in favor for performance/XBox and other things. Too bad for those with a good hardware. Unfortunately, they don't provide a slider (setting) to correct this somehow.

Yeah, also tried changing the Object LOD in the .opt file, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Agreed, looks ridiculous.

I thought it was up to the developers to set the different LODs within these models?
I recall some LOD issues with some default Diamond planes which were corrected in an update.

I only use FSLTL for AI, and my AI all have wheels. What am I doing wrong?

In my case, if you move further from them, wheels disappears.

I am not seeing that at all.

I see the missing wheels too. Nothing like a 737 hover jet. Also has anyone noticed that some aircraft are taking off on a really short runway? Like at KHOU the 737’s in MSFS almost all use 13L for takeoff, but it’s only 5,000 ft long. In real life they use 13R which is 7k. I see this at other airports as well with shorter parallel runways. It seems to always pick the short one for a takeoff, even for 767’s and 777’s.

OK, I am confused, I see AI taxiing and they have wheels, I see them at the ramp, they have wheels. Once they take off the gear retracts, so I don't see the wheels then. What are you seeing?
