Has anyone actually seen  a picture of this supposedly ground-breaking EFB that PMDG is developing?

PMDG should hand the job over to the modding community.

lol  already 1 years since first pmdg msfs release and even we didnt get a picture of the efb

Isnt the salty mod basically not needed anymore?  The AAU2 avionics by WT are more advanced.

That being said maybe salty can branch off the WT work and add an EFB

From what I remember reading, the AAU2 update won't have any Simbrief/Navigraphs interaction. Which is what it sounds like Salty is working on.

Are they legally allowed to completely rip off the Apple app icons like it looks like they're doing? Maybe because it's free?

I standby for a six page diatribe/press release "update" from RSR that doesn't say anything other than "its complicated and we're working on it"

Apple doesn't have a trademark on those icons lol that's just they're iconography guidelines. From what I can see there's no usage of Apple's logo in the EFB.

PMDG would of had a Tablet or EFB whatever you want to call it months ago if they were not not trying to make it compatible with the XBOX version. The EFB/Tablet has to reach outside sources from the sim for communication which is clearly off limits to XBOX, correct or am I wrong here? Is this not the reason some highly regarded Payware or Freeware are not on the MP or XBOX?

As far what Salty is doing great job giving back to the community for your hard work and the users of you mods would be generous to a donation for your efforts.

Sadly not true, there’s a few WASM aircraft now that are on Xbox with EFBs that include actual functions useful for high fidelity flight (not just opening doors).

Some freeware aren’t on Xbox because of asobo’s licensing require MIT, a lot of freeware are GPL licensed. Some payware aren’t on Xbox because  they use external apps or (as of recent this was implemented) didn’t have internet access if they were WASM.

I am going to show my ignorance here, but do those EFBs on Xbox also have Navigraph/SImbrief integration?

No probably not and they can't use Vatsim/IVAO etc. communications platforms either for proper  ATC not even third party ATC that has to connect through Simconnect or FSuipc? They are stuck with the rubbish default ATC system or don't use ATC at all.
