This? Again?

It doesn't matter what you call it, it doesn't change the function of the product.

People who want to keep having this purile and superfluous argument are either trolls or people who have nothing better to do with their lives.

You're all wrong, it's neither simulation nor game, it's Simcade!

We all know it is a game but in context, we also know what he was getting at. There's no reason to turn what he said into a scandal lol.

All right, let's dispense with yet another tedious rehash of the sim-vs-game debate.

There’s only one solution : set up a dedicated sub-forum called «  is it a game or a sim ? ». Anybody posting on the topic out of the sub, would have a dunce cap avatar for a week. 😇

It all sounds good, I am looking forward to the wear & tear feature as I like to take the same plane and depart from its last airport.

I’m very impressed at how Jorg is involved with the community and listening to feedback, the fact they ask marketplace developers what they are working on to try not to overlap with their own planes is quite unheard of with gaming devs. Hats off to them.

I’m glad it’s successful and leading Microsoft to invest more in Asobo, the success of this game also leads to more cool sim hardware for all kinds of planes. I even remember when MSFS2020 released nearly all joysticks were out of stock in my area. It was very hard to get one. And with 12 million potential buyers, it can only attract more devs to expand our sim.

This is a feature that i do also find quite interesting. I think that’s also a bit what PMDG wanted to do with their Global Flight Operations a few years ago but never did.

You’ve been warned to cease the game vs sim debate but you carry on regardless.

Stick to the topic title or it will be locked.

The point is they're essentially wasting their time incorporating something that they could work with the free modders instead, they're now paying employees to do the same job. By working with the free modders they could incorporate those mods in as well, Henrik for example does a brilliant job and it will be interesting to see if the "official" version is any better.

X-Box can't get these freeware addons that require external exes, so there would have been to overlap somewhere.

Which is weird that they would bring up the FBW A380, it will probably never come to X-Box either.

Why not? At some point they added the a320 in the marketplace, but they decided to remove later on (probably because it needed constant updates).

They’ve promised a long ago they would open the marketplace to freeware add-ons.

At some point they will get there. When this happens, they might add more stable versions of the FBW planes.

It’s not very good.

it feels unfinished much like the CRJ

lots of the systems and avionics don’t work properly.

It’s ok for under 10 usd I think I paid for it but it’s definitely not high fidelity.

Obviously expert level is a meaningless phrase which allows a suggestion of high fidelity but without claiming it’s amazing. The price though says all you need to know about how “expert level”  they actually thought it was when it was released.
