Chaseplane supports P3Dv6

Recommended Posts

But I thought you said they weren’t going to make a V6 version due to some deal with Microsoft? You made some harsh statements about Parallel42 on your streams. Glad to see they came though in the end.

Will it be available on OrbX (where I have a CP licence) or do I need to register on the //42 website (I had an account on the old OldProp website and now on this new site I don't.)?

Will my existing cameras and settings work in the new version?

PS: No/Yes and Yes. Both questions answered on their website.

Adam,

Thanks for the heads up, information and the links.

I purchased, installed and working great (limited testing).

My older Chaseplane purchase for P3Dv4 and V5 still working great.

Default folder:

C:\Program Files\Parallel 42\ChasePlane

I have all sims on one PC so I did not install CP for P3Dv6 into their default folder.

I made a new folder :

C:\Program Files\Parallel 42\Chaseplane-P3Dv6

Special note: Thank you Chaseplane .

Excellent news but we don't really have official plane addons for P3Dv6 (besides Majestic and yes we can install A2A etc but no pmdg, FSLabs etc).  Also no orbx (sure we can registry hack it but then again it is a pain)

So this is a new program, not an update for the version that worked/works with v4 & v5?

from their website they state:

Well, I'm happy to say that our plans have changed with regards to ChasePlane, thanks to the support of our commercial partners.

So Microsoft says yes, then its allowed.

There’s no evidence this has anything to do with Microsoft. I suggest you refrain from commenting further on that belief and keep your discussions to the product itself in P3D v6.
