Fenix V2 B1 Released

Featured Replies

Not a great deal of help, but I downloaded the most recent installer from their page about 20 minutes ago - FenixSimA320-1.5.1.200.exe.

So not a problem with their page unless it's intermittent.

In my downloads folder I have 1.5.1.198 exe file which is fairly current and what I had before.  However I believe a newer version is out and was trying to get that one.  I actually don't think it would make a difference for my problem but was hoping to just fetch the latest installer so I am on the latest version.

Sorry should have been more specific. I mean do you still have the old .200 installer from this part of your previous post:

"The first time I just downloaded the the exe file and installed it [...]"

I was able to download the .200 as well earlier.

Latest I have is .198 installer.  I am currently trying to get .200 installer but for some reason it just won't let me have it.

I just reinstalled .198 and once installed logged in normally.  In the upper right hand corner is says I am on version 1.5.1.198 and that a newer version is available.  When I click on "Click Here to Download" all I get is a "Page Can't be Redirected Properly".  Always worked in the past just fine!

Same when I log into fenixsim.com website.  My account appears to be normal.  Bought it June of 2022.  I go to dashboard and I can see my Fenix A320 with a button to download but when I click that button I get the same "Page Can't be Redirected Properly"  This is in Microsoft Edge.  Normally I use Firefox but when I use Firefox I get the same error only it says "Page Can't be Displayed".

It must be some sort of account issue?  I should be able to fetch the native installer as many times as I want and whatever error that error I am getting on the Fenix desktop icon is likely related to why I can't download the native installer.

I actually had this problem last week when I try to download .198 but someone on the forum randomly posted the latest update here on the forum and that download worked.  maybe my account got twisted up when I used the download link here on the forum?  Should not really matter as my log in is valid!

Very odd issue.  If I just jump in the A320 and takeoff it flies beautifully.  However as soon as I had 165 passengers, 6K pounds of cargo and 16K pounds of fuel as soon as my wheels leave the ground I loose total control once the wheels leave the runway.  My only guess is somehow my account is not 100% valid and its not communicating properly with Fenix (whatever how it works?) so the plane just goes stupid.

I am going to reach out to Fenix text support and see what they say or can reset it.

Ah I see, so you never were able to download the .200 installer. Sorry I thought you were able to given your previous post. Yea if you're unable to download it, then contact fenix. They're the only ones who can help you there.

I just reached out to them.  Will be interesting to see what they say?

I just took the A320 up for a test run without touching the tablet and it worked beautifully but when I tried again messing with the payloads it went stupid.  Must be some sort of security thing they have in place!

Yup, let us know what they say. I'm curious.

How are you changing the payloads, in the EFB , I hope.

I do, yes. Given the post, I'm guessing longhaul747 does as well.

That's really strange.

Yes, I used the EFB tablet thing to set payload.

I went to my other house and logged into the Fenix website on a different computer.  Log in is successful but when I go do dashboard so I can download I get a similar error message "This page is not working right now"!

I have not heard from Fenix yet but that might take a day!

Try opening the browser in safe mode.   You might have a download manager addon or some other extension interfering.

In firefox,  select the menu, then help, then troubleshoot mode.   Firefox will be restarted without extensions.

Well I know have around 20 hours in V2 all comprising of 2 -3 hour flights and boy do I ever love this aircraft, performance is great although I did get decent performance with V1 but this does feel smoother. Everything about this aircraft is wonderful, she handles beautifully and sounds great. I just cannot get enough right now. Have done a mixture of Precision & Non precision approaches with no issues. After watching a couple of live streams from V1-Simulations in New Zealand I tried a flight this afternoon from Auckland to Queenstown and boy is New Zealand stunning. Amazing scenery. Will be going back there for sure

Happy Days, This aircraft, This sim = Flight Sim Nirvana for me 🙂

Only thing I'm noticing (.200) is that most times the Simbrief payload does not load in correctly and the passenger numbers and ZFW is out of whack, and I have to reset EFB and load again.

For an update on my issue I got a reply back from Fenix.  Not much was mentioned but an alternative download link was provided and that worked.  It was also mentioned about removing "new" from the download link at fenixsim.com and that also worked.  I would have never figured that one out on my own!

I am also happy to report that it now flies normally and don't have any control issues.  So whatever happened fixed it or .200 fixed it.

Is anyone else having problems getting the Fenix App to automatically load with the sim?  I've checked my exe.xml file and FenixBootstrapper.exe is where it should be and I've excluded all of the Fenix folders/executables from Windows Defender; but it refuses to load automatically.  Note that if I start the app manually, it starts up fine... not sure what the issue is.

I did see the following in the latest patch notes:

○    Inhibited Fenix auto-launch after installation

... but I assumed that only applied once after the initial install.  Am I wrong?
