What will be the next airport that IniBuilds will bring us?

Featured Replies

Since Honolulu was left field and iniBuilds has figured out US airports are where its at...   I'm going to say DFW or ATL.

Based on the clues they gave, this is 100% Dubai (especially "blend of modern-day and tradition"). Great news!

Dubai means OMDB? Or could it be OMDW?

I hope OMDB!

I'm not saying I think this release will be DFW or ATL.  But these two cities are known for their more moderate winters.  Theoretically it could still be correct to the statement above.  A stretch.  But it could be.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

It said escape from the North America/Europe winters. That tends to make me believe it will be somewhere in the  Southern Hemisphere but that is just my opinion.

SXM wouldn't surprise me. Dubai doesn't make sense as a North American vacation destination.

Edit: Looking back, I suppose SXM doesn't have a skyline. MIA fits all the boxes.

The head of iniBuilds said in Discord that they considered KMIA but due to how poorly Asobo has the PG optimized they passed on doing it.

That's unfortunate. I would have totally left my LatinVFR version behind for an INI KMIA. Hopefully they reconsider eventually.

That's what I thought too. I have never heard a single American say they want to fly 15 hours to a highly restrictive, expensive, expansive area of sand and really warm gross water.

Watch it will be some really wierd thing like Panama City or Cartegena or Varadero another Cancun.

Considering one of their sceneries is Nadi Fiji, it could be just about anything with such a vague description.

Also, considering Northerners flock to Arizona in droves during the winter, it's a pretty meaningless clue.

I think I figured it out.  It must be Rio de Janiero - Galeao.  (SBGL)

Escape from North America or Europe winters...check
Iconic Skyline....check
(Has not been done for MSFS outside of asobo version (?)  )....check

We have Paulo Ricardo's Santos Dumont (SBRJ), but it's the "small" Rio airport.  I think it has to be SBGL.

Does it fit the role of a "global crossroads"? IMO, no.  It's Dubai, Doha or Singapore.

Hey - I'll join in the speculation. My vote goes to EGMC. Might not have the skyline but it does have the pier. And it's handy for Canvey Island, a well known paradise destination.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
