Not really related to this however not only can you use hxd64 for this exe file hack you can use it for the cgl files to remove the white boundary around city and airport sceneries  (Forgive the non technical explanation of the effect).

Just open the hxd64 and drop the cgl file in  Select all  Then in fill selection option enter 00 in hex-value and save.

 

Remember to backup the cgl files.
