It really isn't as bad as it was made out initially and there is defo some user error at play. That said there are some bugs I've noticed, like not being able to access the VNAV page on my last flight. But as a few real pilots seem to have had the issue on stream, including a 787 pilot, probably a reduced chance of that being the case. I’m also a 787 pilot when not simming, I’ve carefully used real world procedures to enter the data and have experienced the rotation issue sadly. I’m sure they’ll get to the bottom of it , but I don’t think it’s down to user error, if it is then I’m going to look silly..but it won’t be the first time ! 787 captain. November 8, 20232 yr For the trim issue, it seems like they're just calculating a trim setting that is too far FWD. Setting the trim to the bottom of the green band gets rid of the issue. Is it realistic? No. But the plane isn't modeled with any system failures anyway. When flying in fantasy land, rubber bands and duct tape are plentiful and helpful lol. I set up a whole new profile for the 789 before flying it with custom settings and have never had the same issue as you. I use the Thrustmaster sidestick and the plane rotates on immediate input. November 8, 20232 yr @El Diablito Im currently using the Fulcrum yoke and Bravo throttle quadrant, although I do have controllers available, the thrustmaster 787 yoke etc. I’ve tried watching from the external view at rotation speed and the elevators do move as expected so I don’t think it’s controller issue. Im not too knowledgeable about how the programming side of the hobby works , but my guess is something like an errant forward CG is being passed to the flight model. 787 captain. Some other users have posted about false CG numbers, wrong trim calculations etc so you're probably right. Why it affects others drastically compared to the whole group is just as much a mystery it seems. Lovely screenshot that 👍 Ah right, I'll keep that in mind then - thanks for the info. Glad you like the screenshot - it's difficult to take a bad one on MSFS. The 787-9 is a beauty. November 8, 20232 yr I've noticed the CG displayed on the weights settings page when importing a SimBrief file is different to when line selecting the CG line in the Perf Init page AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance 32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card

November 9, 20232 yr I tried out the B789 on take-off after loading a flight plan and loadsheet from Simbrief. I did not experience the aircraft not wanting to rotate at the calculated Vr, however I did have a tailstrike, which could have been due to pilot error. Is there at TOGA clickspot somewhere? I can't seem to find one. Regards, Scott "...now let's get this thing on the hump - we've got some flyin' to do!" ~ Major Kong from "Dr. Stranglove" Scott Cebula

November 9, 20232 yr I'm on my second flight with the 789. Using the Simbrief OFP and load sheet, imported into the FMC and then EFB, no issues on takeoff. The aircraft rotated at Vr and I did not have a tail strike this time as I paid closer attention to how I was rotating. I have yet to make a landing with it, as I'm currently enroute KMIA - KORD, but so far very impressed with this freeware aircraft!
