November 18, 20232 yr Seems to be pretty similar to the FBW to me, except that I don't need another program (simbridge or the Fenix stuff) running in tha' background. Started it up and flew to the destination with no issues, including the one where the autopilot sometimes gets confused and wanders away from certain routes occasionally, forcing you to do a hasty Direct-to.... You only really need simbridge on the FBW for the terrain radar (which the ini A320 doesn't have). I never have it open when flying. I'm sure it's also used for other things, but I've never needed it to fly the aircraft. Edited November 18, 20232 yr by Tuskin38

Quote Among the report’s conclusions are that neither of the two copilots flying the aircraft called for the “unreliable IAS” procedure after pitot icing led to the loss of airspeed indications. Neither pilot had training for hand flying the jet at high altitude, according to the report, or for flying with questionable airspeed indications. “Inappropriate pilot inputs” led the jet to “exit its flight envelope” less than one minute after the autopilot disconnected and before the captain returned to the flight deck from his rest station. The report faults the pilots’ actions and also finds that their training met regulatory standards. There may be other implications for regulatory agencies, Airbus and Air France regarding their pre-existing knowledge of shortcomings in the aircraft’s pitot system. I mean, i am not a pilot but i really like the flair of the 737. The rattling, the noises....the narrow cockpit feels cozy. Dials and lights everywhere. Surely Airbus is much more advanced in some regards but that doesnt matter in MSFS. I enjoy my 737 Cargo operations big time. It isn’t silly, was AF447 silly? Complacency breeds much more when the pilot doesn’t have to do much for much of his career. Including deteriorating flying skills. That may have been the single thing they did get wrong in that accident; they made every other mistake you could imagine. Bred from what? Having to do nothing but push buttons for years. Bred from being complacent. Not being in tune with each other or the aircraft. Button pushing for too long. They didn’t have a clue what all the warnings meant, they were so used to following flows and checklists they could probably do in their sleep. An airbus pilot told me he could teach someone to fly an airbus 95% of the time. That airbus makes a great pilot mediocre, and a poor pilot mediocre. He couldn’t teach them the remaining 5% when things go wrong as that is when the flying skills come in to it! Edited November 18, 20232 yr by Ianrivaldosmith

I bet not many if any! And lack of training? How many hours did the pilot have? I’d hardly say he was inexperienced. Deterioration of flying skills leads to complacency. Except your flowers has nothing to do with a roof. An A320 has actual relevance to MSFS. It doesn't matter.
