Frame generation for all RTX cards

I am assuming that is his previous settings?  I was going to post the same comments.  One thing he should also do is NOT to use Developer Mode.  It seems any overlays within the sim cause issues.

I got the same when I enabled DM.  Best to use Afterburner/Rivatuner for stats

Ok that could be why this mod isn't working for me. I've always used the in-sim FPS display in the dev mode to show numbers for performance tests.
Never used any other tools 😅

I've just clarified in my original post that these settings are my old ones. Of course I've tried with everything on ultra settings with the mod as this is one of the two things this mod is about 😉

My guess for not seeing results on my side is, that my FPS always CPU limited and rarely cause my RTX 3060Ti can't keep up.
Probably those who were always GPU limited see the best results?

  • Really? It's night and day difference. I'm testing the mod right now, on my "old" 3090, and I get a steady 60 fps, with PMDG 737-800, parked at FSDT KORD, at 5120x1440 32:9, I barely hit 40 befor

  • I'm testing this right now and my mind is blown.  I now understand why all the hype about FG.  3080ti, 4K, mostly high/ultra settings and have been pegged at 60FPS on first test flight in the Fenix.

  • I was one of the people who basically ordered an RTX 4000 series card only because of Frame Generation. And FG is really impressive.  Now I'm glad everyone gets to participate in that experience.

Could there be some issues with german OS?

I have still the issue:
nvngx_dlssg.dll in content folder --> sim does not start

nvngx_dlssg.dll deleted. sim starts, but no new NVIDIA DLSS FSR

Devmode is disabled now, also

Got the Windows Locale "de_AT" and I haven't had "NVIDIA DLSS FSR" either.
When I had the nvngx_dlssg.dll in my content folder and I launched MSFS, I got a popup window with a warning message which I confirmed with "yes" and the sim started normally subsequently.

I am 100% cpu limited with my i9 9900K cpu and 3080ti and I most certainly am seeing an improvement.  For the record it has always been the case with Frame Generation and the 4xxx cards that any insim frame rate counter will always show the true frame rate.  FG is created beyond the sim so you need an external overlay generating app like one by nVidia or Afterburner

You are supposed to set Frame Generation and not FSR 2.  That's your issue.

Oops, didn't know that.
Just had my settings like "IslandSimPilot" in his video (NVIDIA DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION):

DZBxW3f.jpeg

So, you have exact this NVIDIA DLSS FRAME GENERATION entry?

Yes, they are the correct settings.

I meant @Konterhalbe, sorry

He has also a german OS and I still try to find out why my Sim does not start with nvngx_dlssg.dll, but without I do not have the FrameGen options

But its late now ... will have to look tomorrow

Nvidia, why do you do this? Previous generation cards clearly can handle it. Meaning your only reason to hold back is to sell the latest model.
I think I'll try an AMD GPU next time around.

I had all of those three settings and all set as shown in the video.
You're not seeing it, right?

You've asked about "NVIDIA DLSS FSR" before and just to avoid any confusion...
1.) Should NVIDIA DLSS FSR be selectable under "ANTI-ALIASING"? Then no, I could not choose it from the list.
2.) Do you mean "NVIDIA DLSS FRAME GENERATION" by NVIDIA DLSS FSR, then yes, I had the option as shown above and turned it to ON.

yes, meant 2)

no, I do not see such things here.
ok, then, german OS couldn't be the culprit

thx

good night

I've followed the instructions and do not have the Frame Generation field to turn on. Added the DLLs to the directory with my EXE, ran the regedit to add the Nvidia exceptions, no joy. Sim boots fine though.

Edit: I do get the popup saying that it is active, though

Have you sucessfully completed the first step in the readme?

1. Right click on "DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks.reg" and select "Merge". Click "Yes" when the dialog opens.

... and did a restart of your PC?

("Zusammenführen" im Kontextmenü.)

Nvidia drivers up to date?
Restarted your PC after copying the two dlls and the merging of the DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks.reg file?

Hi all,

No DLSS Frame Generation option available in MSFS Graphics settings.

RTX3080, GPU Hardware support enabled, Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling enabled, nvidia driver 546.33. Did reboot several times

  1. In Windows 11 Pro 12H2: when right-clicking the .reg file I don't have MERGE option. I can run it and add the DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks.reg into my registry
  2. I copy the 2xDLL ("dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll" and "nvngx.dll") into my C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.35.21.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe without any problem
  3. Launch MSFS (no pop-up during the boot process), Set DirectX Version to "DX12 (Beta). Quit and relaunch MSFS
  4. I Don't have any "nvidia DLSS Frame Generation" available

Help appreciated 😉

PS: tested with nvngx_dlss.dll v3.5.10.0 and 2.4.12 (MSFS Stocked)
