PMDG says significant portion of 737 Max completed

Featured Replies

Thanks to @lwt1971 for pointing this out and the link to the source of the comment. Regarding the 737 Max, Randazzo from PMDG said:

Caleb- A significant portion of Max is already completed and when we have more specific information we will share it. As previously mentioned- you will have the the option to fly the full range of NG-MAX variants once we release them. At this moment, we are winding the 777 up, however- so the focus is there primarily. - RSR

This is the first progress update that I have read/heard from Randazzo on the PMDG 737 Max. The last time I heard anything about the progress of it was the Skyblue interview that Randazzo did, where he said the PMDG 737 Max could drop anytime during the PMDG 777 or PMDG 747 cycle. I believe that PMDG are likely going to focus on the 737 Max after the 777, to beat iFly. As you may know, iFly is also doing the 737 Max for MSFS so it's a race between PMDG and iFly to release the 737 Max in MSFS. This makes this comment from Randazzo all the more interesting, because he is voluntarily giving public information to iFly on how much PMDG has progressed with the 737 Max.

I look forward to both the PMDG 737 Max and iFly 737 Max being released for MSFS.

So? Use the Navigraph chart weather overlay.

This could mean it's practically ready for release, I'm sure they'll beat iFly.

It really doesn't. PMDG uses wording that better describes when they're close to release.

That said, I think you're right that iFly's version will appear afterwards.

If you forget to turn of engine icing, will the engine self destruct like with the real max?

Something tells me that's not on the list of Boeing approved failures.

I'm actually interested to see if the PMDG MAX will have any failures at all. Perhaps Boeing isn't comfortable with any sort if failure simulated on this aircraft other than some maintenace related stuff like low oil quantity.

I’m actually looking forward to the MAX release from them. I flew on a UAL Max 9 over the holidays and quite enjoyed it. I was amazed at how bloody bright the LED wing and landing lights are on it. The engine sounds are the chefs kiss on the ears.

Yeah yet another 737.

So many nice models out there that need proper attention such as 707 727 767 757... At least the last two are being addressed.

So does that mean we’ll see the Max 7 8 9 and 10? Hope so.
