Oh I know. Plus, someone will eventually get one on FSTO.

It's why I am only mildly miffed 🙂

A few users complained on Discord about t he cockpit view being too hig, which I agreed with. Some modified the settings, and I tried them in the Camera Cfg, and it looks much better. You have to do this for the IAE and CFM.

Not sure if anyone has asked this, If I upgrade and for any reason run into issues can I just delete the fenix folder from my community folder and use my existing pre block 2 version?

Tested it in a few flights already.

Not to the level of feel of my Toliss 320, but still very good, and surely more in-depth failure simulation wise....

I honestly still don't find the flare mode that good... Something tells me it needs further fine tuning...

A pity they didn't try to make use of the new ground physics parameters that can work like a temporary workaround while we do not get MSFS 2024 with the supposedly rebuilt ground and flight physics...

I hope they  don't change the flare mode, because I think it is spot on. Some complained that the V1 lighting in the cockpit was too bright and now  you can hardly read the displays.

Ya V-1 really liked it a lot (and yes more so with SDS enabled), he did a second stream with one engine failure I believe and will be doing more extensive failure and abnormal situations Friday he said. Also looking forward to reviews from "320 Sim Pilot" and "Into the Blue" etc. Blackbox711 I only caught the recorded video after the fact and though I didn't watch whole stream when I skipped over to end for his closing thoughts it all seemed positive without any mentions of any major issues/negatives. His closing thoughts start around here https://youtu.be/jzwaiAd9T1I?t=16891 and these were his quotes:

overall i'm very very happy with the update
definitely have been clear improvements re: pitch and power, for me that was definitely missing before
behaviour at various flap settings all correct
can finally practice engine out
fuel flow a lot more accurate (still need to do more extensive testing)
thrust settings and fuel flow settings at different flight levels now more accurate, and helps vnav
overall I'm very grateful for all the hard work

TheAirbusDriver, who is a First Officer for an A320 in real life, and streams on Twitch, said he likes the new flight model of Block 2. He didn't go in detail about it, he just said he likes it.

Yep, even reminded me of the problems with lighting in Xp12 cockpits... 🙂

I agree with you there Bob, but honestly and regarding the "fell of hand flying" I find it weird at times, and in flare mode for sure...

My preferred ever rendition of the Airbus feel of flight was the one from Peter Hagger in his Airbus collection for XP9, 10 and 11....

Then I also found the default Airbus 320 in Aerofly 2 very realistic in it's feel...

Toliss and FSLabs folow ex aequo, and the FBW a320 NEO is next.... At the bottom is the Fenix, unfortunately, because systems detail and malfunction functionalities are really GREAT, probably superior to all other !

Pretty much any sort of feel is now possible - you can make it as heavy or as light as you desire. The recommended sensitivities are a good starting point with SDS. Perhaps post the sensivity you're using here and what desired outcome you're looking for and I can see if there's something easy you can do to make it better.

Bear in mind I am not a RL Airbus pilot, so, my opinion is highly subjective...

I base my opinion on RL experience only as a glider pilot, the experience of 1 hr full flight simulator session at TAP training Center in LPPT, long ago in 2001, and 6 jumpseat full flights in A320 and 319, observing and taking notes of pretty much every detail I was able to capture ...

Anyway, it is surely a great update ! and it's FREE !!!!

There's one remarkable aspect of the simulation that I really have to take my hat off - turbine simulation with all of it's details !!! Wow !!!

For sure, but I'm just curious to see if I can help - but I do need to know what you mean by "weird" - is it too fast? Too jumpy? Too heavy, or too light? Not precise enough? Also an idea of your sensitivity and SDS setting would be great - along with the sort of hardware you're using. I might be able to give you a couple of suggestions.

Might I respectfully suggest that your gliding experience is giving you an unrealistic expectation of how the A320 should fly.

A lightweight airframe where you feel every single twitch, bump and updraft through your fingertips on the controls is very different from a 60-ton jet that not only does not give 1:1 feedback from the sidestick, but operates according to certain control laws that many pilots find 'interesting'.

Perhaps change your controller sensitivities to give you an experience closer to what you want, bearing in mind the Flare mode logic is definitely not natural to light aircraft flyers.

EDIT and having just typed here after I landed at LOWI I went back to MSFS and see that message now again, still standing on the rwy where I left the airplane (sorry folks for go-arounds if you see me there)

I didn’t get any ECAM warnings, just a “dead” autopilot. Funny though (well not really funny) AP worked on first B2 flight yesterday. This morning I woke up to another beta update and it’s not working.

I changed my settings to the ones suggested in the documentation that comes with v2, activated SDS and the Rudder tunning too....

A pity that MSFS 2020 doesn't allow to have these SENSITIVITY settings associated only with one specific Profile but applies it to all of the profiles 😕

I will keep testing and will try to give feedback !

I also use RealTurb v2.0.1 and my turbulence settings in MSFS 2020 are presently set Aamir !to "REALISTIC".

Thank you for your interest Aamir !

Maybe check the dead zone settings if they are high enough?

Not necessarily replying to you in particular. Question: there’s of course dead zone settings in MSFS control sensitivities, but also in the McDu. Do the MCDU one override MSFS perhaps?
