On my second block 2 flight using IAE. Hand-flied the departure out of EGKK for a while. When I wanted to connect AP1, it doesn't work. Speed is fine, aircraft is stable in straight and level flight. I tried turning AT off then on, cycled FDs... Read through knowledge base and followed advice there. Still no AP... Aircraft is perfectly stable thanks to flybywire, but I would like some AP on the way to Munich...

Also made sure I had dead zone set on all the axis on the sidestick + rudder.

EDIT: Looking at discord, lots of people have trouble with AP not engaging...

Only did one flight and on that flight I was indeed too high and too fast. I remember on the previous versions the drag was too high (so VNAV speed bracket ended up haging on the lower end), so maybe they overcorrected and the drag is now too low?

one in the IAE into LOWI was -well- better, still had to apply full speedbrakes but that may have been the LOC27 approach which is a tad steeper maybe IIRC? anyway, like it a lot.

interesting since something similiar hit me in one of this morning's CFM flights, AP deactiviated. There was a red message "AUTO FLT AP OFF", had to land manually

EDIT and having just typed here after I landed at LOWI I went back to MSFS and see that message now again, still standing on the rwy where I left the airplane (sorry folks for go-arounds if you see me there)

Hello,

When I do this action, the MCDU returns "AOC SEC F-PLN UPLINK" but I no longer have the import of the Simbrief flight plan (EFB does have the flight paln).

Edit : This only happens when the engine is started.

That is the way the Airbus works. If the engines are running you have to import the flight using the Sec plan

I also observed that. I was coming in pretty fast during my first flight (without ATC and just following the flightplan/VNAV). With ATC and the assigned altitudes etc. I had no problems managing the energy.

Do you guys know if there are cabin announcement packs available yet? In flightsim.to only liveries that are exploding like crazy but nothing about announcements 🤔. Maybe is still early

I did 2 tests flights yesterday (ESSA-ENBR / KMCO-MKJS) with IAE engines. Did not encounter VNAV issue, but had one AP disconnection mid flight. Cannot blame the FNX though, might be my joystick and/or xbox pads. Never had any disconnection with B1 though, I'll do further tests tonight.

Maybe check the dead zone settings if they are high enough? And, also with MSFS I had heavy weather upload changing altitude and wind dramatically causing my AP to disconnect as well.

Just some thoughts, although this must not be applicable to your situation.

Tested it in a few flights already.

Not to the level of feel of my Toliss 320, but still very good, and surely more in-depth failure simulation wise....

I honestly still don't find the flare mode that good... Something tells me it needs further fine tuning...

A pity they didn't try to make use of the new ground physics parameters that can work like a temporary workaround while we do not get MSFS 2024 with the supposedly rebuilt ground and flight physics...

Deadzone I dont think, the disconnection happened while I was cooking (had to let the pan when I heard "wooop wooop, pull up ! pull up !")

Might be the weather, I'll find a route in rough winds for my next flight.

I was watching V1 Simulations and Blackbox711 yesterday. In the earlier stream, V1 Simulations seems to like it overall, and he prefers using SDS, as he was testing the flaring and landing of the Fenix A320 in his earlier stream. However, I didn't hear V1 Simlations do an end summary of the flight model and changes yesterday to see what his overall impressions were as I left the stream early. If V1 did do an overall summary, I would like to know where he did it and the timestamp.  For Blackbox711, he liked the overall changes and says it flies much better now, but there is still some work that the Fenix team need to do, according to Blackbox711.

Ya V-1 really liked it a lot (and yes more so with SDS enabled), he did a second stream with one engine failure I believe and will be doing more extensive failure and abnormal situations Friday he said. Also looking forward to reviews from "320 Sim Pilot" and "Into the Blue" etc. Blackbox711 I only caught the recorded video after the fact and though I didn't watch whole stream when I skipped over to end for his closing thoughts it all seemed positive without any mentions of any major issues/negatives. His closing thoughts start around here https://youtu.be/jzwaiAd9T1I?t=16891 and these were his quotes:

overall i'm very very happy with the update
definitely have been clear improvements re: pitch and power, for me that was definitely missing before
behaviour at various flap settings all correct
can finally practice engine out
fuel flow a lot more accurate (still need to do more extensive testing)
thrust settings and fuel flow settings at different flight levels now more accurate, and helps vnav
overall I'm very grateful for all the hard work

With B2 and especially with SDS enabled the feel of flight and hand flying to me seems better than both the Toliss in XP and FSL in P3D I used to fly, definitely need to test more. Of course systems and failures wise, and especially with the new custom engine simulation, visuals, etc Fenix definitely more in-depth and immersive IMO.

They couldn't have adopted the new ground physics FM parameters in B2 obviously since SU15 is not released yet.. As they did with the SU10 parameters I'm sure they'll take a look and implement the appropriate values (if they feel it helps) on a subsequent fixpack release for MSFS 2020 post SU15.

I am still mildly miffed they didn't port over the US Airways livery.

It's not over til it's over....

What this all means is the liveries we bring you for Block 2 will be some of the highest quality, and most customised, that have ever been released with an aircraft for Flight Simulator.

Now all this quality _does_ come at a cost, we aren't rushing out 300+ liveries to inflate our numbers, instead we're doing the opposite, and allowing the painting team to take their time in creating high quality, fully customised liveries. This means at release there won't be quite the selection as there was in Version 1 (still over 75 of the most popular liveries), but the accuracy and amount of detail included in each of them will be much greater, and make each airframe and airline feel unique. As of right now, not every livery features a custom cabin but our goal is to eventually get to that point with as many as we have reference for. After release we'll post regularly updates here to round-up the latest livery additions, which we expect will keep trickling in for many months, as the Livery Tracker has over 2000 potential liveries to paint.
