Fenix A320 Block 2 is released

Downloading the new package was a breeze. Picked a bunch of liveries in the livery manager, which takes a bit of time to install. I really like the interface these guys use. Looking forward to taking the bird for a quick flight. Just to clarify, if I want 4k textures, should select 8k in the livery manager? I see an option for 4k or 8k.

Cheers, Pete

Disable it temporary.

I got it working.  Like in the old days you have to launch the app before the sim when loading this aircraft.  I am sure in a future update it will go back to not needing to do that!

The new model looks good...real GOOD!

I don't have to do that.

Got half way through my first flight and got a CTD… Never in 3 months of daily use on this pc had that ever happened, even with 5 hour flights on the last version of the Fenix. Annoying to say the least! Event Viewer shows the faulting modal as just flight simulator.exe and a separate crash got GSX back end

I had a problem last week with Webroot, which surprised me because I have used it for many years and never had any issue.

Does it automatically install into the Community folder? I use Addons Linker, but did have the previous version  the Community folder.

OK I figured it out. Ignore me, "I know not what I speak". The Aircraft is installed in the Community folder, with the Livery Manager and the Fenix App installed on C:\ drive (as always)

Just found out on Discord, that the 737 which I have been flying for many months, the diamonds are filled in an brighter. That is why I thought there was something wrong with  the ones in the Fenix.

your type rating just expired 😉

well, if I want apples I don't select oranges. same here, pick 4k if you want 4k. the only glitch they have in the livery manager is that there's a sticker/banner showing "8k installed" despite it is 4k

Got it working. I think my antivirus was the culprit

seems to be a known issue, see https://kb.fenixsim.com/efb-showing-as-blank (in case others are looking for a solution to this)

Did my first flight last night, taking off from Telluride on full TO-GA thrust, then ILS approach to Jackson Hole in icing conditions. Flew great. The new control damping is... interesting. Only disappointment (and only temporary I guess) is, MSFS' autopilot controls still don't drive the Fenix' FCU.
