DLSS 3.7

So much easier... simply choose the presets as needed... no need for multiple steps!

No need for DLSS Tweaks you mean? Anyway, that's why I use Inspector.

Updated XML file for NvidiaProfileInspector. The file is located under Optional Files. Download it, unzip and overwrite.

Has anyone had the chance to experiment with the new HDR settings?

Isnt TrueHDR for games, that has not official HDR support? And MSFS has it.

That’s probably it. The AutoHDR feature I think it’s called.

I am using double wide 1440p which is almost like single wide 4K

total pixels:

1920 ✕ 1080    2,073,600    FHD / Full HD (1080p)
2560 ✕ 1440    3,686,400    WQHD  1440p
5260 x 1440     7,372,800  Doublewide 1440p <=====
3840 ✕ 2160    8,294,400    4K UHD    4K
7680 X 2160    16,588,800 Doublewide 4K

DLSS Qaulity, Render preset Ultra, LODs 200 and 400 (the maximum !!). I get 28 fps with 50% traffic in the Asobo v2 A320 at the default runway JFK.

But here's the thing: It is smooth, no stutters when I spin the plane around in outside view. Before these new 3.7 preset E it would stutter, not smooth.

"Spin the plane around": I created a profile in MSFS just for "spinning" tests. I just used the Duplicate Profile icon in MSFS to make a copy of my normal yoke profile. Except I removed 2 commands from the left and right position of one hat and replaced them with  these commands:

OUTSIDE VIEW: External View Look Right and External View Look Left

(these are the commands that by default are assigned to the mouse right button to spin the plane in outside view when you slide the mouse). So when I flick the hat switch in outside view, the plane spins around very fast. When I'm done testing I just switch back to the original profile.

My point is the difference using 3.7 preset E for smoothness and lack of stutters.

EDIT: You can't do a continuous spin test for say 10 seconds duration in one direction using a mouse. You can when the same command is mapped on a keyboard key or controller button.

Humm, well I am not sure why fps is so low

After being busy with work for a few days the simply replacing the 2 files now seems not enough as there are Presets ?

If I only replace those 2 files it will work right ?

I do not want to return to Tweak simulator like with P3D ….

hahaha.. "Teak simulator"  That was FSX  lol

Yes, sorry..should have been more specific.... no need for "tweaks" as now as the XML file contains all the new updated codes for the presets..

Got it, thanks. Just got the XML along with latest nvidia driver update.

Still in preset E and there’s smearing even on the 146 analog cockpit. So I’ll change back to F.

Same here tested the tweak method and the obvious inspector method no difference as what I would expect.... So back after house cleaning here just inspector method with F 😎

Going to test that one for HDR first to read the readme...

Could someone let me know which file of custom settings XML should i use for Inspector?

Looks like Nexus XML is larger than Inspector custom settings file.

thanks

Thats great - one of the good aspects of DLSS. But it blurs my glass displays.

DLSS is still terrible. I am pursuing the smallest / least power consumption build i can find and landed on this 7600X plus a 4060 low profile card and i _NEED_ to use DLSS and FG in order to be in the 90+fps at 2560x1440. When downgrading from my previous 4070, lowering some settings to HIGH and most of them to MEDIUM, there's zero difference from what i had previously (all ULTRA), but the 4060 just can't cope with TAA and i am using DLSS in quality mode. Boy is it worse...

I can deal with it because it fits on my new 4.3 litre case and uses 90 watts less power (total in flight power usage is now down to the ~210 watts mark), but it's one thing i miss. Who knows, maybe nVidia's next gen will bring an equally small and low power card but strong enough to get back to TAA.

Heh, need to edit my sig...

Many people say this, but for some reason I don’t get this. Using DLSS in preset F (get ghosting with E).

Do you get blurring or ghosting (i.e. “fruit machine” effect on fast moving numbers)?

Ca you use DLSS+DLAA? Then there shouldn’t be any downscaling.
