VoxATC IFR departure

Featured Replies

I noticed that when you are getting clearance you don’t get an initial altitude and an expected altitude after xx minutes. Is this something you will add?

At least in Europe that is very common.

If there’s an initial altitude in the star, I don’t get one when getting the IFR clearance. E.g. just departed Edinburgh which has an initial altitude of 6000ft in the STAR. Other places I’ll get both an initial altitude and expected altitude after xx minutes, which works well.

I think you meant SID?

I think we can forgive @Cpt_Piettthat little mistake, he's been flying furiously in different aircraft between a whole host of European destinations for seemingly the past week nonstop!

But as its just the sim we can give him a free pass from these: Flight time limitations guidance and resources | Civil Aviation Authority (caa.co.uk)😉

Be careful what you say, he‘s in charge of the „Executor“😂

Sometimes I have to admit to myself:
"Si tacuisses, philosophus mansisses"

Speaking of STARS .... & SIDS too, one needs to note whether the procedure is a legacy or an RNAV one.

VoxATC does not get it spot on (yet) with core ICAO phraseology for RNAV "climb/descend via's" .... so this may further confuse one.

for now, cheers

Wow, that sounded great. Are these default voices or paid extras?

Windows 11 natural voices which are free 🙂

No promises yet, but we're hoping to implement these in the release version. I'm currently testing them in various locations around the world.

Is there a way to make ATC to speak at a normal operational (I mean faster) pace than you show in your various videos? Thanks to both for your dedication to this product.

Absolutely yes, VoxATC allows you to vary the speech rate of the voices, each one independently if you so wish 👍

We've been working on getting shared cockpit working for the last few days. Great fun and an added level of immersion.

How it works: Both captain and FO can interact with any switch and knob in the cockpit. Only one person can interact with throttle, stick/yoke and rudder pedals.

I've included some preview clips on my latest flight from Hamburg to Düsseldorf. More videos will follow once things are a bit more polished.
