It has been suggested to me that there may be a relationship between the improvements (in terms of soothness and stutters) in the sim post SU15 and the version of Windows in use, so this is a very basic poll to ask, in effect, what version of WIndows you're running and if you saw any improvements post SU15.

For me, SU 15 has pretty much transformed the sim, and I'm using Win 11.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Sorry for sidetrack, but you have a 13tb nvme drive?...may I ask what price that was?

Not a single 13tb drive - one 8tb, one 4tb and a 1tb nvme. Plus other drives largely held over from previous configurations - I used to run XP11 with masses of Ortho4XP tiles which are probably still sitting on a HD or two. At one point I had FSX, P3Dv2, v3, v4,v5, XP10, XP11, XP12, Aerofly FS/FS2, DCS and a couple of other little fsims all sitting on the same PC, and between 48 and 64 Tb of HD spinning away! Most of that is gone now, not even interested for nostalgia's sake.

The 8tb nvme was about 700 UK pounds, I seem to remember.

(oh, and I've still got about 40tb of NAS drives to back it all up. I should get some sort of award from Seagate, WD et al)

(and that's just the primary simpc. I've got a second simpc I just recently built from all the old bits and pieces plus a few other PCs in various degrees of use. Obsessive? Moi?)

Overall, I haven't noticed much in the way of differences, other than the Inibuilds A300 now performs much worse on my system that it did when SU 14 was current. Now I'm experiencing mini-pauses when flying that aircraft in SU 15 that wasn't the case before. I'm not experiencing that with PMDG, Fenix, WT, etc...

Win 10, no difference in smoothness, but I no longer have issues with apron textures disappearing 😄

Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9! Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

I guess it isn't necessarily the win version, but also the hardware one uses (CPU, GPU).

Su15 us very much a "Meh" for me - at least unlike other SU releases nothing took a step back (Thanks to the Beta program in my opinion) - I really dont see any differences on my setup

I voted for option 1 as I perceive the sim to be a little smoother but I can't say in all honesty it is that much smoother.  The main things for me are that the texture bleed through has been fixed and ground handling seems a little more realistic.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

In my case, I don't have a lot of flights racked up in SU15 yet, but I did vote for SU15 with WIN11 did improve performance for me a little. My gauge for this is simply my first flight in SU15 was in the Fenix A320 out of KPHX Phoenix airport by BM World/AMsim, which is not known for its smooth performance. However, on my system, which is stout, that flight and the taxiing around KPHX was noticeably smoother for me than it has been pre SU15.

So, that is my limited basis for my vote. I have done one other flight, in the Asobo ATR 42-600 in New Zealand, which was incredibly smooth. But, I would have had the same experience on that flight regardless of SU15 as that region and aircraft do not tax my system that much at all.

Currently on Win11

Did the last few weeks of SU15 and noticed an awesome improvement with everything.

Never had been so smooth. AutoFPS, FG mod and Gsync monitor makes the sim unreal in comparison to even a few months ago. Years? Amazing. Its great for me because I don't have a 40xx card and updated CPU etc. My stuff is pretty old.

So far, no difference for me that I can detect. Smooth sim before smooth sim after.

One little improvement, though. The sim now remembers to start in full screen mode.

My previous Reverb G2 settings got hosed with this update.  The good thing is it forced me to get reacquainted with the OpenXR Toolkit.  VR seems to have taken a visual hit with clarity.  It's hard to get used to the UFO strobe lights on AI aircraft.  Whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be fired...👎 I was hoping these last few updates that have been popping up would correct the issue, but they haven't.

Gained about 10 FPS with SU15.  Smoother on the controls.  I like it.  Win 10.
