July 12, 20241 yr I do think activesky depicts weather better. But nothing beats flying over clear skies to seeing you descend into CAT III fog looming over san Francisco.

The answer is no better with live default weather depiction than what we had in SU6 and earlier. Queue people telling me I'm wrong and then someone will show up with videos and pictures pre-su7 showing what we had that we can't get now, then someone will pipe up and say that METAR integration is the bestest and "we" needed it before defending the volcanic ash clouds as "pretty" and then Ray will have enough and lock the thread....that should save 9 pages of internet trees 😄 Pretty much biblical at this point🤣😂 Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2
July 12, 20241 yr Did a flight with default weather today out of Ketchikan and the change from themes was so drastic I'll stick to default weather since the thunder storms were localized and very believable. MSFS 2024 should be even more awesome. sp Edited July 12, 20241 yr by Sky_Pilot071

July 13, 20241 yr Activesky for me. Cloud variation, metar correctness, historical wx, and continual improvement.

At Fukuoka, Japan Active Sky Default weather I like the default weather too, but comparing AS and MSFS20 live weather through the screenshots doesn't show anything in my opinion, because you have to "live" your live weather directly in the sim observing how it is working. Sometimes the default live weather is better than AS and viceversa. IIRC the AS dev stated that his product is not perfect because the SDK or API packages are not completely available, but the price you have to pay now for AS is for a well finished and refined work. There is absolutely no way you get this with activesky. And I definitely did not see the sky filled with CU clouds only of my flight today from RJFF to RJTT.
