Are you talking about the slight red edges on numbers and borders of menus?

Yes, magenta, cyan and yellow too but sounds like a lot more pronounced on my headset.

I see a little bit of red on some of the menus and letters. Maybe a tad of green on parts of the leading edge of the wing, with certain head positions. I didn't even notice it till your post, and I kind of have to look hard to notice it.

Yay! My CL came today and about to set it up..

Have tried to adjust all the straps (as have the aftermarket strap from Studioform like on m,y G2) and feels very nice on the face...

Ive noticed there is some light bleed through on the sides which i can block out with my fingers, and a little under where the nose sits..

Anyone else had this or is it not noticeable when using it?

NB - sorted!

Good morning, Do any of you wear glasses? and what do you feel?

Following my question on his Discord channel, Simhanger (Youtube) has asked the question of Pimax ref the 1m focal length query (and thus requiring your monitor/mid distance prescription rather than the more usual distance prescription) but he hasn't had a response from them yet.  I have a Crystal Light on order and already have some distance-prescription glasses I can try but - because I'm pretty sure it is mid distance that is, indeed, needed - I'm going to order some mid-distance glasses too and try an A/B comparison when the headset arrives.

If we don't get the answer from Pimax (it's a simple question and you would have thought quite important for the reputation of the headset in the glasses wearers community!), I'll let you know what my own conclusions are here!

I used cheap 1 diopter reading glasses - don't need a prescription since having my cataracts done, but do need reading glasses, and PC glasses, but standard store 1 diopter for PC, 2.5 diopter for reading. I started with the 1 diopter when I 1st got the CL, but ordered a simple prescription lens insert from VR-Rock for convenience. But the glasses were fine when I used them, no issues with touching the lenses or comfort.

One “issue” for me in the new CL-415, is the too much obscure windshields for Virtual Reality and my HP G2 I think, maybe other new VR HMDs that have more nits, it does not matter?.

Have someone got already the CL-415 to test?, is there a noticeable difference with the Crystal Light 200nits (I think) vs the HP G2 150nits?.

I received my PCL today. Setup was easy enough but despite tinkering for the day the image remains blury in the middle to distance. Just using SteamVR to look around that cabin and the mountains, the cabin itself is clear enough, but looking out over the mountains is like i"ve got double vision - It actually made my eyes hurt and gave me a headache.

IPD is set correctly and I don't wear glasses so not sure what else I can do to adjust. Reading the discord there's a LOT of issues similar to this. QC doesn't appear to be PIMAX's strong point. I think this one is going back to them.

That sucks!

Try using PimaxXR

Yup, try PimaxVR for sure but it's unlikely to have any impact on your blurring issue. I use it and have a similar issue - waiting on replacement lenses to arrive.

Thanks mate - Yeah I've been using PimaxXR and tweaking with OpenXR as well, but little I can do seems to effect the blurring. Really disappointed but hoping some new lenses or a replacement headset will give better results. @Donka What processes did you have to go through with Pimax to get yours replaced? I

I reached out to them on Discord and they reviewed my sample images and asked me to open a support ticket with them.

Try what's shown here and let us know how you make out (this should be a sticky in this forum):

A big thing to remember is if you have FS tuned to an older headset your going to have issues. Also certain AI third party aircraft traffic doesn't play well with the CL. Default or things like FSTraffic are the best options.  I had third party aircraft installed that added to my AI traffic that caused a loading problem when flying over airports where they showed up.  I had to disable the 'use as AI' tags in those aircraft's 'aircraft.cfg' files to resolve the issue.

READ through my thread here so see other tips that might help:

Another thing to remember is proper IPD setting for your specific eye separation on your face.  A wrong setting in the headset can kill your eyes causing headaches, vertigo, and blurriness if not set correctly.  There are apps out there to get a decent measurement on this and set the headset accordingly.

Make sure you're wearing the headset correctly. Usually if IPD isn't the issue it's wearing of the headset.  I had my son try it and had to adjust it back to me after he put it on.  What I found was I didn't have the headset pulled down enough before in front of my face.  This time around I loosened the top strap a bit (already had the back of my head adjusted with the padding hitting my lower neck) allowing for the headset to sit somewhat lower over my eyes (seeing more top of the lenses than before). The back adjusted to keep if off my nose and the look outside was better than before.  This is hard to explain here but I now use my Phenom by Cockspur as a marker.  If I can hold my head forward and look down at the Garmin without it being blurry (not moving my head when I look) I'm wearing the headset correctly.  Not sure if this is making since but it's trial and error.  The distance view is where this headset really shines.😉
