Why is it that so many people expect free upgrades these days? It isn't as if this guy has added a few static tugs, changed a couple of lines, and tweaked a handful of parking spots. This is a complet

  • It's virtually a complete re-work and improvement of EGPH, from one of the best scenery devs out there. For £11. I don't feel that's too much ask. But you have the choice to buy it, or keep the older

  • Just finished my first flight into EGPH v2 with the Fenix A320. Great performance on approach, some minor stutters while taxiing on the apron with FSLTL. Not much difference to v1 though, imho. But ot

It’s a completely new product, so no.

If you buy it Contrails, there is an oddity with the Contrails app. After you buy it, it won't show up in your Contrails library as having been purchased or owned. What you need to do is go into your cart! Even though you already bought it with the Contrails app, the download link is in the Contrails app Cart, not the library.

After downloading from the cart, then it will show up forever more in your Contrails app Library.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

It looks gobsmackingly good, as expected. Looking at the comparison screenshots from Contrail though, there seems to be quite the performance hit with V2. In one of the shots the difference is as much as 15 fps. And it seems the hit is only on the mainthread - no difference in GPU frametimes. So a relatively decent CPU is probably required, especially if one wants to run AI traffic.

I've just finished this fly-thru video, showing the airport in quite a bit of detail. For those who may be interested...

Nice, thanks for this! Now even more I will be getting this scenery into my sim. But one little thing I noticed: did you actually check the inside of those buildings you claim having modelled interiors? I bet it is "just" very good parallax mapping and no real interiors 😉

Hey, "My Library" in Orbx Central is "My Products" in Contrail (top left menu).

Furthermore the product is available for download right after completing the checkout in-app (final screen), and then also shows up in the "Downloads" menu (top right) and the "My Products" tab.
"Libraries" in Contrail are folders where products can be installed to, outside of the Community folder. So a product only shows up in a library once it has been installed.

It could also be a bug of course, didn't you see the download in the mentioned places after completing the checkout?

Cheers,
Lars

As you can see from my specs below my CPU is not very strong, yet it handles EGPH pretty well even with 40 - 50 parked aircraft and a handful of live aircraft injected by PSXT/RealTraffic/AIG/FSLTL - and my flight to EGPH last night was in crappy weather with solid overcast and moderate rain.

Ah, glad you like it Chris. Ah, the hotels? unsure how the interiors are modelled to be fair, they certainly look 3D, but yes, probably are parallax mapping, but look amazingly convincing, even close up, with beautiful reflections on the glass.

I checked it, as I went to buy the airport the moment I have seen your vid 😉 it is indeed neither fully 3D interiors but also not parallax mapping, but something inbetween with 2D sprites placed in a cube-like interior just behind the window. A really good looking solution I must say.

No, I did not. Nor did I see it there in the other half dozen times I bought something with Contrails going back 2 years. I don't like Contrails, the other seller's apps are less confusing, I never get lost with Orbx or Simmarket, etc.
