Pyreegue Dev Co. EGPH - Edinburgh Airport II Released

I would say it's more of a unique UI rather than a bug. Aerosoft, Simmaket, Orbx apps I navigate easy enough right off the bat. However I did learn how to navigate Contrails just as well, and I wrote some text notes to help me in the future.

Why is it that so many people expect free upgrades these days? It isn't as if this guy has added a few static tugs, changed a couple of lines, and tweaked a handful of parking spots. This is a complet

  • It's virtually a complete re-work and improvement of EGPH, from one of the best scenery devs out there. For £11. I don't feel that's too much ask. But you have the choice to buy it, or keep the older

  • Just finished my first flight into EGPH v2 with the Fenix A320. Great performance on approach, some minor stutters while taxiing on the apron with FSLTL. Not much difference to v1 though, imho. But ot

The flight in was wonderful. Great looking airport. And the grass was there. But I cannot start my return flight. I have tried with different aircraft but MSFS halts loading the flight. All other airports are ok, all aircraft are ok, but when loading EGPH the process stops. Even nearby EGPF (Glasgow) by the same developer loads. This started prior to the WU17 update so my guess is it has to do with EGPH.

Anyone any clues?

Thanks!

Not had that issue myself. Are you running any additional tools like a traffic injector or similar? Disable any other tools and see if it happens.

Just wanted to report that it was a bug afterall! When completing the checkout, it will now redirect to the downloads page as of app version v2.2.9 (just released)

Cheers,
Lars

Thank you. Another nice thing is that Contrails shows you which folder where they are downloading / installing your addon.

I see there is a new version 2.0.8 that fixes photogrammatery compatibility. I guess that was my issue, since it works now!

Anyway, the price of £11 at the moment is an absolute steal...

£1 per fps lost in the new version it seems. Such a shame as adding AI and a jet will leave you with 15fps.. I wonder if these screenshots are with native DLSS FG on? Hope not. Pyreegue is one of the best, together with Fly Tampa, in my opinion. It's a shame to see him adding Doritos and Sushi at a restaurant I will never see. v1 performs perfectly on my set up. I wish devs would offer a AAA version and an FPS friendly version without interiors. I love detail but not at the cost of 10-15fps.

I do not have AI enabled, but I completed a circuit at the airport in my PMDG 737-600 without problems (TLOD @ 250 and OLOD @ 200)

I already have v1 and its a bit disappointing that this isn't a free upgrade

I just checked out the V1/V2 comparison shots - so much more authentic to the real place, so must be worth the cheap purchase price.

If I remember, you lock to 30fps? I need 60fps for Track-IR and wouldn't want to give up FSHud ATC as it works so well and adds so much for me.

It was the 15fps comment that puzzled me, considering the specification of your PC. For the record, I have never locked my framerates in any flight simulator

ive got it and its another example of an unoptimised, yet hyped to hell by the kids pile of trash.

It never ceases to amaze me that devs can churn out any old gash and so long as its hyped it will sell.

In the fenx panning around 23 frames.  another rubbish prouct,

It never ceases to amaze me to see people asking for tons of FPS in a top-notch simulator in 2024 on one of the best sceneries available using an nowadays not even mediocre, almost 5y old CPU...

plenty of other airports work fine, its been mentioned on other forumns the proformance on it is rubbish.  an 9900k is hardly mediocre

but as long as as theres people like you chris that will accept sub par stuff, they will keep making sub par stuff.

Yeah, time flies. I considered myself top of the food chain what I feel is not soo long ago, but my feeling is obviously deceptive. Although I have to say I can run EGPHv2 in the Fenix with quite a lot of FSLTL traffic on mostly HIGH/ULTRA settings pretty well. I had to lower some settings with the recent ENGM scenery by Jo Erlend already, and with those and AutoFPS (TLOD 50 below 500 ft.) it is smooth with the occasional stutter when turning onto the apron and buttery with the PMDG 737. Quite impressive for such a detailed scenery.

Flight Simulator is - and has always been - a balancing act between settings and outcome, regardless of the hardware one uses. When MSFS2020 came out, such level of detail simply didn't exist, so it is no wonder adjustments have to be made.
