1. If that is an electric boat can I ask, tongue in cheek, who is that in the boat??

2. Whilst the graphics in this screenshot are great, you really do have to check out the magnificence of the sharks at the bottom of the oceans. Graphics are brilliant LOL

Really, haven't seeing anymof those reports on other forum. Of course you reported those issues,  right!! Will never be payware quality they never said it will be, so don't expect such.and Janov being an Airbus pilot might take a bit of convincing it's wrong.

Yup it's been reported numerous times.  In not expecting it to be pay ware, but being able to fly in a line properly and have a relatively accurate fuel burn is basics, Also its their flagship aircraft on the front of all their marketing.

You guys really do accept shoddy workmanship so the Devs (on all platforms) will keep releasing half finished products

Shoddy is a subjective term.  What you think is shoddy, someone else might think is good enough to be included in a flight sim for free.

well you should have that discussion with Janov and see what he thinks. Spent a lot of time with him getting the citation reasonably good, even having holds corrected. If you have the proof and you can prove it he will make the changes. As for me its free I hvae no complaints.

It's not shoddy as such, just half baked. And then it's up to community Devs to step up and complete the tasks.  This is normal.

its on all their marketing, its on the front page of the sim, yet its very much unfinished. So much so, years down the line a group of people are having to fix it for them.

they had months and month to do even just the simple bugs like the cruise alt issue on the mcdu or the burns. They cant even bothered to do that.

Again is the main aircraft they use as marketing for the sim, and the autopilot wont stay on in cruise its unacceptable.

When I look out the cockpit windshield below, I see XP10 graphics that is 12 years old.

All things being equal, I'll take better scenery.

But all things aren't equal, so i'll take higher flight realism.

Let me guess, the flagship 330 not been touched again ??

It's a flight simulator, not an addon.

It seems you might not be familiar with software development. Or building, well...anything.

I don't expect the Default Aircraft to do anything much other than fly half decently. In fact, I don't think i've EVER taken a full flight on a default aircraft (in any sim). They're (almost) never satisfying relative to High Fidelity payware.

They're intended to be small taste tests to give you just a bit of flavor to help you decide what type of flying you might enjoy, and where you might want to spend money on Hi Fi addons.

Every version of X-Plane and MSFS I've ever bought, I have bought without paying attention to the aircraft used on the cover or for their marketing. I look at the performance, graphics and flight model.  My expectations for default aircraft, in ANY sim, are very low.  Primarily because I hardly, if ever, fly default aircraft.

You're more than entitled to have a different view, but if you expect payware quality default aircraft, you're expecting way too much.

And I'm not even going to blast the default aircraft in the other sim.  Particularly the TBM, which I have a great deal of knowledge about, in the flight model and visuals.

I agree with you. You cannot expect a high-quality addon to be a default plugin. I use X-Plane from XP10 to currently XP12 and purchased the MSFS. Without a doubt I prefer the X-Plane for its flight physics. But it is a waste of time waiting for a quality A330 being default

What are we supposed to do? Throw away an otherwise great simulator just because one default aircraft is not up to par?

Nobody forces people to fix anything. If Laminar did, I'd have a fully fleshed out fork of the default MD-80.

File a bug report.

Oh boy, are you missing out. Airliners and their bugs aside, XP12's GA lineup is A+.

Also, that "never used a default aircraft in any sim" statement is absolutely ridiculous because I'm 100% certain you've tried at least one simulator that can not be modded. If I hooked you up to a lie detector and asked you about each of the titles on these list, I'd get a buzz at the latest after item 50: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Combat_flight_simulators
