3. it cant fly corners properly

the list goes on,  its terrble.

I look forward into an update that brings night illumination to the low cloud layers, like that from city lights bellow or from the aircraft lighting systems.

Presently we already have Moonlight reflecting in the clouds, but the rest of the effects will be great to have and make a huge difference in night operations.

Yet, regarding visuals, namely airport visuals, I prefer XP12 to MSFS. From the buildings to the colours, lighting systems, etc...

He's probably on every leisure craft added by this update. XP must really roll in some dough if Austin can afford naval vessels now. 😂

Really, haven't seeing anymof those reports on other forum. Of course you reported those issues,  right!! Will never be payware quality they never said it will be, so don't expect such.and Janov being an Airbus pilot might take a bit of convincing it's wrong.

What I noticed:

Water colors look about the same. Nothing that would make me think I am on vacation in the Caribbean.

Really awful roads.

Coastlines still have those sharp awful angles.

Too many static sailboats with their sails out. Looks weird!

Operator error. There is a sim update and scenery update. You would think LM would make this stupid proof. To make a short story shorter, the ocean colors look better, and the sail boats do not have their sails out sitting at anchor.

Roads still look like word not allowed. I notice roads sitting on tops of roads.

Etc...

Not entirely true. The roads are using bezier curves generated from the OSM road data. This was mainly done to reduce the number of points needed to generate corners and reduce the size of the scenery tiles back in the XP10 days and you can also clearly see this if you overlay them on aerial imagery (as they don't align correctly to the original ones). It's still not great though and I tend to just disable the roads and make them transparent

Thanks for the info. Hopefully their next gen scenery address this, whenever that is.

How do you disable the roads?

I though this was a flight simulator?? Sea world????

What about the giraffes etc mate. It could well be that in MSFS we have the most versatile sea/zoo/wild animal simulator with some aircraft and scenery thrown in for a bonus.

This is a far cry from the original topic though.

I no longer use P3D or XPlane as I am a rabid scenery graphics chaser. However, all these sims have their own faults and advantages. If I had my druthers, I would have xplane for flight modelling, P3D for the airliners because the graphics are not as necessary at 30 to 40000 feet, and, of course, their excellent use of all the hidden animals whilst MSFS is for GA and the wonderful scenery as you fly by.

Unfortunately, in these times of fiscal paucity (in my case) I cannot indulge in all three despite really, really wanting to,

I am sure though, that all simmers are truly enjoying what they are using and THAT is the main thing.  If I changed sims though, I would surely miss all those sharks.

Bestest to all
